When you’re putting on armor for the first time you usually just make do with what you have. You don’t consider the bonuses or what perks do they offer when worn under specific conditions. Sometimes you don’t even put too much thought about anything and only put on pieces that increases your stats.
Tears of the Kingdom however, has plenty of Armor Sets that you can collect and dress up with during downtime. Collecting most of them is as easy as walking up to an unguarded chest and prying it open with your bare hands. Knowing that you can find the entire set you’re looking for in one area is even better. Well almost, more on that on the guide!
Archaic Armor Set Location
The Great Sky Island is where you can find the entire three-piece set of the Archaic Armor. The Legwear is located in the Starting Cave, while the Archaic Tunic can be found at the Pondside Cave after crossing the lake. Lastly, the Archaic Warm Greaves can be found near the Bottomless Cave on the eastern side of the island.
Your first piece of armor that you’ll probably let go of will be the Archaic Legwear. You can find it next to the exit of the Starting Cave before you jump down to the Great Sky Island. This is the game telling you to put some clothes on. After all, you can’t be caught going around the place in your spats.
The next area will bring you to the entrance of the Pondside Cave. There’s only one tunnel that leads to the big room inside. Follow that tunnel and make a left turn once you get to the back end of the big room.
Keep following the tunnel and look to your left before you reach the exit. You can find the Archaic Tunic inside another chest. Also, the previous room will have enemies for you to clear out.
The last piece of the armor set will be the Archaic Warm Greeves. You can find it inside of a large tree above the Bottomless Cave. Make sure that you’ve eaten your fill of Spicy Peppers to mitigate the negative effects of the cold weather!
