When going through the many caves in Tears of the Kingdom, you might have found these Bubbul Frogs. They’re always in well-hidden places and it’s good to hunt for them because they drop Bubbul gems! These gems can be used to exchange for cool items like different kinds of masks. Finding these little critters can be difficult though.
In this guide, we’ll show you where to find the Bubbul Frog in the Death Mountain East Tunnel Cave. Now get a bow ready because you’re going to need it!
Death Mountain East Tunnel Cave Bubbul Frog Location
- Locate the Death Mountain East Tunnel Cave in 2751, 2768, 0521.
- Wear some heat protective clothes;
- Go Inside the cave and make a moving mine cart.
- Use the cart to go across the lava.
- Go to the Bubbul Frog location.
- Defeat the Bubbul Frog and get a Bubbul Gem!

Detailed Walkthrough
First off, we’ll want to go to where the Death Mountain East Tunnel Cave is. As the name suggests it’s in Death Mountain, but it’s actually a bit to the northeast of the actual mountain. The coordinates for the cave are: 2751, 2768, 0521.
Before you go jumping into the cave make sure that you have some heat resistance clothing. As the name implies Death Mountain brings death to the unprepared and has the highest heat points in the game. Wear gear like the Vah Rudania Divine Helm to help you with the heat.
Once you enter the cave you’ll see a minecart track with a minecart to the right and a fan to the left. You can use your Ultrahand to place the Minecart on the track and place the Fan on it so that it’ll make the thing move. Now all you need to do is hop on and hit it to activate it!
Make sure that you go to the next island and not the island after that. That’s because that’s where the track ends and where a boss monster is.
Once you get off the rail you should see a cave, go inside the cave and there you’ll find the Bubbul Frog on the wall. Just get your bow out and shoot it down! Once it’s defeated it’ll drop a Bubbul Gem!
