Finding Bubbul Frogs in Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is a fun collectible quest that rewards the player with Bubbul Gems. This guide focuses on how to get the Bubbul Gem from the frog in the Deepback Bay Cave.

Deepback Bay Cave Bubbul Frog

  1. Head over to the Deepback Bay Cave and walk inside the cave.
  2. Once it opens up, walk towards the left and jump down the opening, and glide
  3. At the bottom, you will notice a weak rock formation on the ceiling.
  4. Attach a bomb flower to your bow and shoot it at the weak rock formation to blow it up.
  5. This will cause water to drain from above, revealing the area you need to progress to.
  6. Head back up the opening that you jumped from using the Ascend ability
  7. Go into the depression from which the water and drained, and you will unlock the entrance to the Anedamimick Shrine.
  8. Go behind the shrine’s entrance, and you will spot a narrow passageway.
  9. The Bubbul Frog will be inside the passageway. Shoot it to get the Bubbul Gem.

Detailed Walkthrough

Starting off, head over to the Deepback Bay Cave at the following coordinates. 4193,-2311, 0000.

Close to the cave, you will spot an entrance leading inside it. Head inside the entrance and keep walking until it opens into the main area. There will be the entrance to a shrine that is submerged and openings on the left and right.

Head into the opening on the left and jump down and glide. Once at the bottom, you will notice a weak rock formation close to the ceiling. Additionally, there will be a worm-like enemy known as Like Like. Take it out and attack a bomb flower with your arrow and shoot it at the weak rock formation.

This will cause the wall to blow up, draining the water from above. If you have done this right, a small cutscene shows the water draining.

Once this is done, use the Ascend ability close to the opening that you jumped down from in the first place. Ascend is obtained by completing the Gutanbac Shrine on the Great Sky Island.

Now head down into the depression from where the water has drained, and you will be able to access the entrance to the Anedamimick Shrine.

Head behind the shrine to find a narrow passageway. The Bubbul Frog will be inside this passageway.

Shoot the Bubbul Frog with an arrow to kill it, and you will obtain the Bubbul Gem

The Bubbul Gems from the Bubbul Frog are trading components that can be used to obtain the Mystic Armor.
