How to Solve the Gutanbac Shrine Puzzle
- Go into the Gutanbac Shrine in the Great Sky Islands.
- Talk to the Spirit and receive the Ascend Ability.
- Use your Ascend Ability to get over the obstacles.
- Receive your rewards after completing Gutanbac Shrine dungeon.
Detailed Exploration Walkthrough – Gutanbac Shrine
First, you will need to go to the Gutanbac Shrine’s location in the minimap down below. Once you get there, you can interact with the Shrine’s green portal to be teleported to the Shrine’s dungeon. This is where you can explore and start earning rewards.
Once you get into the Shrine, you will be engaged in a conversation with a Spirit. After that, you will receive a special ability called Ascend. With this ability, you can move upward through solid material and emerge on top of it. This ability will be very important if you want to get through this Shrine’s dungeon. Other than that, you can also use it for world exploration which can also be really great.
Next, you will want to keep following the middle path until the end of the dungeon. Then, look upwards and start using your newly obtained Ascend ability to move upward.
After you have ascended to the next floor, you will want to run to the right of your character. Then, you will be able to see a small platform which you can ascend on to go to the next floor. There are two platforms for you to ascend on, so remember to take the one at the very back otherwise you will miss the treasure chest.
Once you’ve ascended on top of it, you will be able to see a treasure chest lying just next to you. You can open up this chest to receive 1 Stone Axe as a reward.
Now you got your Stone Axe reward, which can be really useful for the boss, it’s time to move on to the next step. You will want to take the other platform next to the platform that has your chest and ascend on top of it. After you get there, you will have to fight a boss in order to keep progressing through the Shrine dungeon. Remember that weapon you just obtained? If you did not bring a weapon with you when you first walked in, this Stone Axe can be really useful!
Next, after defeating the boss, you can receive some rewards from winning. Then, try to look around you for any of the wooden crates that you can break. After you break the two wooden boxes, let’s move on to the next step.
After you break the two wooden crates, there will be an empty space for you to walk into the wall. Once you got in, use your Ascend Ability to teleport yourself on top of the wall.
After you’ve ascended on top of the wall, you will be able to see a chest containing a Construct Bow, more weapons meaning you can use them to fight against your enemies.
Next, jump downwards and walk to that area to your left. You will notice the two ropes attached to a bridge. Use any of your melee weapons to cut the two ropes, which will in turn pull the bridge down. Then, use your Ascend Ability to go on top of the bridge. From there, you can keep moving forward.
This is how the bridge looks after you’ve cut the ropes. There is no way for you to manually walk on top of it like how you would use a bridge. In this case, you will want to just ascend on top of it.
After you’ve gotten on top of the bridge, keep walking forward and to your right. You will be able to see a green platform which you can again use your Ascend Ability to go on top of.
After you’ve gone on top of the platform, walk to your right and ascend on another platform on top of you, which will lead you to the end of the Shrine dungeon.
Once you got on top, you would be able to see the two statues. Interact with the two statues to finish the Shrine dungeon and receive your reward, which is 1 Light of Blessing.
This dungeon is a little bit difficult to do because it requires a lot of navigating. You will need to know which platform to use your Ascend Ability to go on top of, which is important. Getting lost will cost you a whole lot of extra time.
