Reaching the Korok Forest is a big deal in Legend of Zelda: Tears of Kingdom because if you try to go there naturally by walking into the area, you will be booted back to where you started. So there is simply no path that leads directly into the forest. You may have already attempted to rush into the forest, climb from the sides, or glide to the center. All of those methods, however, are doomed to failure. You might have concluded that there is no way in despite your best efforts.

But, of course, there is! We admit that it may become tiresome because you will need to visit Korok Forest for a number of reasons. You will find Master Sword there, it will be the last place Hestu goes, and you will also need to speak with the Great Deku Tree there. But it is okay! Simply follow our instructions, and we will show you how to get there!

How to Go to Korok Forest

To get to the Korok Forest in Tears of Kingdom, you must first pass across a dark and creepy chasm. You will be okay as long as you stay away from the glooms in the depths and bring Brightbloom Seeds with you to illuminate your way.

The steps are as follows:

  1. Go to the Minshi Woods Chasm (1063, 1655, 0167)
  2. Jump into the hole and get to the Depths.
  3. Follow the line of Poe Souls on the ground and head North.
  4. Climb to an Ogre Tree and follow the line of Large Poe Souls until you see Rikonasum Lightroot.
  5. Stand beneath the Korok Grove and Ascend to the top.

As we mentioned before, you cannot enter the forest from anywhere on the surface, leaving only the underground as an option. To do that, you have to go to Minshi Woods Chasm. It is located just to the north of Woodland Stable. You can place a pin in the center of the Korok Forest to assist and guide you in the Depths before jumping into the chasm.

After you jump down and enter the Chasm, you must make your way to the north. The fact that the entire area is in darkness may fool you at first but don’t worry, a line of Poe souls will advance along the way you should take in the darkness.

Use Brightbloom Seeds to light your way if you find the path too dark for you to progress.

As you proceed on your way, at some point you will notice the Ogre Trees. They are also distinguishable by the Large Poe light on them. When you see an Ogre Tree, climb to the top and follow the direction of Large Poes. They will lead you to a lightroot in the distance and assist you in avoiding the gloom hands.

After following the line of Large Poes for a while, you will see the Rikonasum Lightroot in front of you. Once you see it, jump off the ogre tree and glide to the nearby non-gloom-infested area.

If you stand beneath the Rikonasum Lightroot, it will dispel the darkness and brighten the surrounding area.

Once the lightroot brightens the area, you will see that you are already where you need to be! The Korok Grove is right behind the lightroot.

Just like this, you will finally discover the Korok Forest. Whether you want to give your big friend Hestu a visit and enlarge your inventory, or talk to the Great Deku Tree to save the Korok Forest and get the Master Sword, you can travel to the Korok Forest as you can use the Musanokir Shrine in the area as a fast travel point from now on! So, be thankful, you will not need to go through the Minshi Woods Chasm to get to the forest ever again. We hope that our guide helped you along your path.
