Exploration in Tears of the Kingdom may or may not have brought you to the Cephla Lake Cave. Most caves offer nothing but danger in the lands of Hyrule, this cave however, is one of the few exceptions. The only problem is your passage is blocked by a stone wall, and no normal traveler will be granted access until certain conditions are met.
The conditions are easy, you just have to find three pieces of armor for the gate to recognize you. What isn’t easy is finding the pieces yourself since they’re literally all over the place. Finish the quest faster by reading this guide to know where to look!
Misko’s Treasure: The Fierce Deity
Going through the quest will net you three things: The Fierce Deity Mask, Fierce Deity Amor, and the Fierce Deity Boots. Returning to the Cephla Lake Cave with all three will get you the Fierce Deity Sword. The mask can be found within the Skull Lake Cave, which is a few fathoms away from the chasm where you can find Biggoron’s Sword.
Scale the rock and glide down into the orifice. There’s only one way leading out of the first section so bring an explosive with you to clear out the rocks blocking your path.
Don’t let the enemies rattle you once you get to the other side. Just climb up the hill to get the Fierce Deity Mask at the top.
Your next destination will bring you to the Akkala Citadel Ruins. You can get there easily by making use of the Domizuin Shrine.
The simplest way to get to the treasure at the bottom of the ruins is by heading northwest. There’s a ledge at the back that you can climb over that will grant you access to whatever’s left of the interior.
Clear the ledge and look to your right. You will see a crevice big enough for you to crawl into. This will lead you into another room that lets you drop down into the Akkala Citadel Ruins Summit Cave. You can find the Fierce Deity Armor here with little to no difficulty.
The last clue mentioned an old stump in Hyrule Field. You can find this place southwest of Central Hyrule. Go north of Mount Daphnes. There you will see a lake with a giant tree stump in the middle that’s quite difficult to miss.
Use the same approach that you made with the Skull Lake Cave. Jump into the hole and swim southwards once you get to the bottom. Get rid of the twigs blocking your way to continue.
When you get to the other side climb the giant root all the way to the top. Another set of twigs will come in between you and the Fierce Deity Boots after you finish climbing. Hack those out of the way to get to the last chest.
All you have to do next is return to the Cephla Lake Cave over at Eldin Canyon. Don’t forget to put on the entire Fierce Deity set to gain access to the treasure room.
Close your inventory to trigger a short cutscene where the wall opens. Now get your new sword and challenge out of reach objects, like the moon!
