There are tons of side quests scattered all over the region of Hyrule in Tears of the Kingdom. All you need to do is look for them. Start asking NPCs or finding secrets in caves, or you encounter the quest randomly.
In this article, I will guide you in accomplishing the side quest called Moon Gazing Gorons. I will show you all the locations and the NPC you need to interact with to start the side quest.
Moon Gazing Gorons Guide
To start the quest, Talk to Tray found in Goron City. However, this quest is only available after you finished the Yunobo of Goron City main quest. Be sure you have finished the quest before starting this particular side quest.
Here’s what you need to do in order to finish the Moon Gazing Gorons quest:
- First, you need to reach Goron City. The city is found east of Death Mountain. Here are the exact coordinates of the city for better map navigation. (1593, 2428, 0381)
- Once you reach the city, go to the inn where you will find two elderly Gorons outside talking. Interact with Tray to start the quest.
- A hint will be given on where to find the location of the quest. The hint will lead you to a cave called Lake Ferona Cave. See the picture below to find the exact location of the cave and here are the coordinates. (1930, 1321, 0136)
- Lastly, what you need to do is use a campfire and skip the time to noon. The moon will open appear at noon. Take a picture of the moon and return to the elder Gorons in Goron City to finish the quest.
Some side quests are easy like this one, but some can be hard and challenging. For taking a picture of a moon and receiving 100 Rupees is not that bad.
