Side objectives should always be a top priority when you’re not busy progressing the main story. One of the things you can keep yourself busy with in Tears of the Kingdom would be the 152 shrines scattered around the playable area.
To be even more specific, we’re talking about the Rakakudaj Shrine smack-dab in the middle of Mount Nabooru and the Koukot Plateau. Solving this shrine is a tad bit different since you’ll be doing most of your work under the heat of the sun. If you want to clear the Rakakudaj shrine in one go then read the guide and get started!
Rakakudaj Shrine Guide
The entrance to the shrine is on top of a rock next to a river. You can gain access to the entrance by going through the Geruda Canyon Pass and working your way upstream. Interact with the shrine once you get close and a green beam of light will appear, telling you where to go next.
The light will show you the location of the crystal you need to bring back in order to access the shrine’s interior. Use your glider so you don’t have to worry about drowning on your way back.
Use your Ultrahand Ability to transport the crystal towards the broken rover highlighted in orange behind you.
Drop the crystal for now and put the rover back together. Place the crystal on top of the rover and stand behind the steering wheel to assume control.
Now follow the light going back to the shrine. The rover can handle all sorts of terrain. This includes the ability to effortlessly scale the rapids going upstream. You only need to watch out for your batteries and your own temperature.
If your batteries run low, let go of the rover for a few seconds and it will immediately recharge. If your temperature goes up well there’s the river for you to swim in.
Leave the rover and place the crystal on the shrine to trigger a short cutscene. Go inside and collect the Mighty Zonaite Longsword as a reward for all the hauling you’ve done.
If you want to have your own rover to move around in then you’ll need the auto build ability. That’s something you should get for yourself once you meet Robbie!
