Who knew that looking for frogs in Tears of the Kingdom will eventually turn your game into a Minecraft strip mining session? Thankfully the Hyrule locals don’t mind explosives going off in the mountains, making your Bubbul Frog hunt a whole lot easier.
The whole area lies underneath a mountain so it can be quite difficult to power through if you’re underprepared. But not while you’re with us! Keep this guide handy and you’ll know which set of rocks you’ll need to clear without having to worry about causing a cave in!
Sahasra Slope Cave Bubbul Frog Location
The Sahasra Slope can be found just south of the Lanayru Wetlands. To make things even easier, it’s also directly underneath the Sahasra Slope Skyview Tower where Billson is. If you haven’t unlocked the tower yet the closest shrine you can teleport to will be the Morok Shrine. The frog is in the back of the cave where most of the path is blocked by breakable rocks.
You can get to the cave entrance rather easily from the top of the hill where the tower is. Head up the stairs and glide to the northwest. Move further from the hill and you’ll see the entrance shortly.
A large obstruction will immediately greet you at the entrance. Luckily, you have a bomb flower and a permit you can use to begin the strip mining process. You can also strap a Time Bomb to your shield and tap at the rocks to really feel the earth shattering kaboom you’ll be causing.
Carve your way further into the cave while leaning to the right. That’s the spot that will have an offshoot that will get you to the frog’s location.
Keep throwing whatever explosives you have to make quick work of the rocks. A small path to your right will present itself. Head in there and use your Ultrahand ability on the boulder blocking your way on the other side.
For making you use valuable resources and not making the trip any easier, the frog deserves death. With one more Bubbul gem in hand you can now leave the cave or go in deeper!
