Sometimes games like Tears of the Kingdom refuse to throw you a bone and tell you what needs to be done in order to progress. Most of the time when they do lend a helping hand, it’s still not enough due to a varying number of reasons.
You may have fallen victim to this while doing The Gerudo Canyon Crystal Quest. Not all of the shrines across the realm will let you walk in and out without asking for something in return. In this guide, you’ll be transporting a crystal back to the shrine entrance upstream!
The Gerudo Canyon Crystal Quest Guide
Think of this quest as if it were the Rakakudaj Shrine. Once you interact with the shrine, a beam of light will shoot out, telling you where to go. You can find the crystal that opens the shrine gates next to a broken vehicle that you can fix along the Gerudo Canyon Pass.
To begin, follow the light going downstream. This will lead you to the exact location of the crystal you’ll need to open the shrine. Only the light can go through the rocks. You? Not so much, so you’ll have go around. Just follow the river until it bends to the left to get close to the crystal.
While you’re quite literally right next to where the crystal is, you might as well put the rover back together. This will make the trip going back a lot easier since it’s basically an all-terrain vehicle.
Yes, it can go up the stream without any difficulty as well. Certainly, better than transporting the crystal on your back or using Ultrahand every time you go up the rapids.
And here’s the crystal, just a few steps away from the rover. Place it on the vehicle and drive all the way back to the shrine. The vehicle runs out of batteries every now and then so you’ll have to let go in order for it to recharge.
That’s how you finish the Gerudo Canyon Crystal Shrine Quest. Head on inside to collect the Mighty Zonaite Longsword that has a strength stat of 15!
