When playing sequels to a game, some of those games will allow you to transfer your save file from the previous game. Back in the old days, games used to do that. Notable examples are Dot Hack, Xenosaga, Fire Emblem, Megaman.EXE, Golden Sun etc. It’s a feature that seems to make a rare appearance these days.
In The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, the feature makes a reappearance as it reads your Breath of the Wild save. But what do you get from it? In this guide, I’ll tell you what you get when it reads your save.
What Data Get Transferred Over from BOTW?
When you transfer your Breath of the Wild save to Tears of the Kingdom, you will get all of the horses you tamed in Breath of the Wild. You will obviously need to have your save data in the Switch console you are using, then you will need to visit any stable in Tears of the Kingdom and speak to the owner of the stable to view all of your horses again.
Sadly, that’s all there is to it when importing the save data. No extra hearts, extra stamina, or even any cool gear. But at least your horses will be by your side once again.
That’s all there is to it for transferring your Breath of the Wild save game. Did you manage to see all of your old horses again? Let us know in the comments below.
