Temtem is officially out with its stable 1.0 patch! This means that there are brand new things added and changed from before. The biggest change, and something that most people are after, is the hunting of the Luma Forms. In this guide, we will be talking about how you can hunt them through 5 very good methods. Let’s get started.

5 Ways to Hunt For Luma Forms | Shiny Huntin Guide – Temtem 1.0

There have been some changes to the odds and ways in which certain facets of this Shiny system work. This is an updated guide for even the players coming from early access. Shinies in Temtem are called Luna Forms.

All Luna Temtem has a minimum of three perfect stats which is a nice bonus when finding all of them together.

First Way of Hunting Luma Forms – Radar

The ways that the radar works is that you can make them to a specific type of Luma Form habitat and then you can activate the radar. Don’t worry if you activate it in the wrong location, you can just make your way to the appropriate location and do it again.

Once you activate it you will just need to wait. Every so often, and this depends on the specific temp spawn rate, a Temtem will appear in the Overworld. Keep in mind that you must defeat them or capture them to keep your chain.

Radars are changed too and will not always find unevolved forms. This time you can also buy the radar that you want, other than the previous RNG system.

Second Way of Hunting Luma Forms – Breeding

If you have a Luma Temtem and breed it with a non-Luma Temtem you have a 1 in 1000 chance of getting a Luma. If you breed 2 Lumas together that chance lowers to 1 in 100! This is a very high chance indeed!

Temtem has a fertility system that gives you a limited amount of times that you will be able to breed. But it is a very viable method!

Third Way of Hunting Luma Forms – Saipark

You will see this small island on the left after the 2 broken-up bridges. It is a mid-level location and you’ll need the jumping gear to get here. Simply get Rock Hopping gear and you’ll be good.

It resets each week and it provides different Temtems. When the Saiaprk has more rare Temtems the odds of actually encountering them are increased. This means that it is a very good method of getting a high-quality Luma Form.

You do have to buy special Temcards in order to participate but it is more than worth it if you‘re after Temtems. Give it a try!

Fourth Way of Hunting Luma Forms – Full Odds

Some would say this is the worst way to hunt. You are basically going left and right inside bushes and hoping that whatever you encounter will be a high-quality Temtem.

The base odds of finding a Luma this way is 1 in 7500. So yes, think about it before you start doing it. With the previous patch, it has been increased by it is still a very low chance.

Fifth Way of Hunting Luma Forms – Buying

This is for the ones that don’t mind the grinding. You will just grind for Pan Suns. This can be done by competitive PvP, daily quests, Dojo Rebattles, selling your Breeding rejects, or whatever.

Lumas can be quite expensive but still, if you have the cash why not go for it?

That is it! We hope that this guide provided some very useful knowledge when it comes to hunting for Luma Forms. A big thank you to Gym Leader Ed from YouTube. You can check him out here.
