Alignment Guide – Terraria

What is Alignment?

Alignment is a new value that will be added into a player’s world when Mod of Redemption is installed. Alignment’s effects will affect your game, from world generation, dialogue, storyline, accessible content and more. Think of it as an RPG karma system, where the choices you make will affect pretty much everything you do.

To get a good idea of what your Alignment is while playing, you will need a Chalice of Alignment. This will show you if you are on the path of good, or the path of evil. You can get this item by combining a Chalice Fragment and a Cursed Gem. Alternatively, you can purchase the item from the Wayfarer.

Take note that if your alignment value is 0 and more, you will be on the path of good. But if your value goes lower than zero, then you’re on the path of evil.

There are positive and negative alignment points you can obtain as you play the game. In the current version (which is 0.8), these are what you can do to get different kinds of alignment points:

  • Defeat Thorn – Positive Alignment +1
  • Defeat The Keeper – Positive Alignment +1
  • Rest The Keeper’s Soul – Positive Alignment +2
  • Rest Skull Digger’s Soul – Positive Alignment +1
  • Help King Slayer III’s ship repairment – Positive Alignment +2
  • Spare Erhan – Negative Alignment -1
  • Kill Erhan – Negative Alignment -2
  • Kill Skull Digger – Negative Alignment -1
  • Defeat Enraged King Slayer III – Negative Alignment -2
  • Defeat Nebuleus’ True Form – Negative Alignment -4

Elijah Hernandez is someone that loves video games since he was little. It didn't matter to him if people didn't like a video game. If it was fun, that was all that mattered to him. He's also a huge fan of superhero media like Marvel and DC, so he's practically played games like Spider-Man and the Batman Arkham games. He's also into multiplayer games that strike his fancy, specifically games like Call of Duty and Fortnite. Most especially Fortnite since he can play as different Marvel and DC characters in a battle royale against other famous and iconic characters.
