Weird West takes you on a journey across the reimagined version of the wild west where you traverse the land along with mythical creatures. In this land, anything goes and most of the side quests give you an insight to just how far gone the world has come.
We prepared a guide for one of the quests in the game, The Dying Stillwater, which will reward you with a secret location that will give you good loot and more lore for the game!
Weird West – The Dying Stillwater Quest Guide
To start this quest, you must be at the point of the story that has reached Greenwood Run.
You need to go to the trapdoor in the large house within this area. You should find an old man, Dean Stillwater, lying on the bed. Speak with him to begin the quest.
He’ll ask you for a bandage to heal him, there are some bandages near the ladder you just come from so you can give one of these to him to gain 5 rep and earn him as a friend for life.
Once you finish this objective, he will mark a location on your map for you. This location is the grave of a man named Thomas where Dean buried rare treasure for you to have.
Head back to the world map and the new location will appear to the northeast titled Secret Stash.
You are free to go to it at any time but be prepared because there will be some enemies there. Fortunately, they will be busy fighting each other when you arrive so, if you play your cards right, you can easily sneak past them and watch them weaken each other before you join the fray to deliver the final strike to both groups.
After the enemies are defeated, you are free to search the two graveyards to find Thomas’ grave. His full name is Thomas Powell, not to be confused with another Thomas whose grave has already been dug up.
Dig his grave with a shovel to find a Gold Bar and the Golden Ace of Spades.
That’s all there is to it! The side quest actually is already complete when you give Dean some bandages but this one is a good bonus to reward you after a little act of kindness.
