Once you get the hang of the basics of The Front, you can finally leave your base behind, journey inland and focus on things that matter the most. Things like destroying the sanctity of the rainforest for the greater good. How do you do that? With drills of course!

Mother earth was never the same when we discovered the existence of ore and crude oil. In this guide, you’ll give her a lesson she’ll never forget by learning how to operate the manual miner. Find out more by reading the rest of the instruction manual below.

How To Use The Manual Miner

You can get the Manual Miner by going to the Structures section of the Tech tree. It’ll be at the very bottom right next to the Fish Basket and Small Crop Plot. Something we have a guide for if you need help planting seeds.

When you finally get it down, use the interact button to use it. You can choose to either do some actual mining or gather crude oil from the radial menu.

Naturally, this would be a very slow process, it’s much better to leave yourself in front of this machine while you’re doing something else away from your computer.

That also means not being able to do anything else in-game, since you’re practically glued to this thing. But that really won’t last that long, since you’d want to graduate from this machine early on.

And that’s how you make use of the Manual Miner in The Front. Stick around with the game for a while. Who knows, maybe you’ll find better things to do aside from causing small tremors in the ground!

Here we have Alexis, he's been gaming ever since the second Famicom came out. Which is probably the reason why he goes back to platformers every now and then. Somewhere down the line he started getting more and more fascinated about looking at maps change colors for three to eight hours straight. If he's not out strategizing and beating the life out of his space bar in that order there's a good chance you can find him playing an FPS or talking someone's ear out about how game balance gets in the way of realism. You can tell that he really likes getting the full experience of whatever he gets his hands on.
