Varg is a boss that you’ll encounter while playing through the main story of Thymesia. He is a knight with a big sword and he means a lot of trouble if you come in his path. In this guide, we will be giving you some tips and tricks on how to finish the Varg Boss Fight without breaking a sweat. Let’s get started.

Varg Boss Fight Guide – Thymesia

Varg is a very difficult boss in Thymesia. He has a lot of HP and is very tanky. The damage that you’ll do to him will be reduced by a lot and if he manages to catch you even one time of guard, well that would be it for you! There will be a couple of things that you’ll need to look out for when fighting with Varg.

Varg Boss Fight – Stage One

The thing about Varg is that he is a very heavyhitting type of boss. If he hits you even once, it might mean game over for you. But on the other hand, when you look at his attack animations you’ll see that he is very vulnerable to all types of attacks. He is extremely slow.

You need to use his slow movement and attacks to your advantage. Look out for his animations when attacking you. He will usually take a big breath, pull back his sword, and then do a swooping strike. The thing about his strikes is that they can have a very big reach and actually hit everything around you. Because of this, you’ll need to time your dash perfectly.

Look out for his attack from up. Usually, it is right after he misses you with his swoop attack. Other than that just do your simple hack and slash attacks and keep dashing around him.

Varg Boss Fight – Stage Two

Thymesia Varg Boss Fight Guide2

This is the first thing that you’ll see once you enter stage two. He will rush up to you. This speed comes literally out of nowhere because in the first stage he was practically slower than a turtle! If he does catch you with this though, say goodbye to 80% of your HP.

You will need to dodge it just in time. After this, you will continue with the regular boss fight.

This time he will have a couple of new attacks up his sleeve. Again, they are deadly if they hit you, even can one-shot you at times. But they are very slow. You will look out for the animation before he hits you, and this is how you beat him in the end.

The new attacks are now jumping strike, swooping AoE everything around him strike and again his rush attack. When he rushes at you this though, do not dash! Just make a run for it! Go back as much as possible because if he catches you, you won’t survive a second rush attack from him.

Now just continue with your basic strikes and he will go down after a while.

Congratulations on defeating one of the hardest bosses in the game! We hope that this guide helped you out a bit! Good luck taking Varg on yourself!
