In Tower of God: New World, players try their luck at the game’s gacha mechanic and use their spoils in order to form various teams to face all types of content. Now, in addition to the increasingly difficult story mode and other PVE activities, the game also features some PVP content, allowing you to test your might against teams made by other players. I
Best Teams for PVP (Dec 2023)
When building your team, you must always consider how colors counter one another. Basically, it goes like this: Red > Green > Blue, while Yellow and Purple counter each other depending on which color has more units.
With that said, in PVP modes, sometimes it’s more important to think about each character’s utility rather than elemental weaknesses, so mixing and matching stuff based on what you have and what you’re facing will always be the best approach.
Here is an example team that you can try to use if you have the necessary units:
- [Flame User] Yihwa Yeon – Great DPS with stun and defense reduction
- [Fast Ship] Evan – Great support unit that goes well with practically any team due to his immortality move.
- [Data] Khun Mascheny – Is invincible while performing some of her moves and does a decent amount of damage.
- [Destined Path] Hwaryun – She has good debuffs, team buffs, and shields.
- [Maniacal] Xia Xia – She is the team’s main healer and barrier provider.
Another one you can try that’s fairly popular is a combination of the following characters, including some options that were in the previous team:
- [Data] Zahard – Absolutely incredible DPS and can be really tanky. Has the potential to hard carry the entire team.
- [Hellfire] Evankhell – Deals a good amount of DPS and can heal and buff herself.
- [Data] Khun Mascheny
- [Fast Ship] Evan
- [Destined Path] Hwaryun
Of course, nobody is stopping you from trying out a mono color team, such as a full yellow composition that may look something like this:
- [Black March] Bam
- [Fast Ship] Evan
- [Flame User] Yihwa Yeon
- [Dual Swords] Hatz
- [Deadly Martial Arts] Shibisu – Really squishy, but buffs the attack of all yellow teammates.
And those are just some of the teams that you can try out in the game’s PVP modes. At the end of the day, your desired team composition will heavily depend on who you actually have, as well as what your opponent is using. Hopefully this gives you a better idea of how to form your team, though!
