If you’ve been waiting for a solid Arrancar (Hollow) build in TYPE://SOUL that can hold its own in ranked matches, you’re in the right place. Arrancar may not be topping the meta right now, but with the right setup, focusing on speed and relentless pressure, you can absolutely turn the tide in your favor. In this guide, I’m breaking down the best Arrancar build I’ve been running lately. I’ll cover everything from stats, skill boxes, weapons, partials, and some killer combos to help you dominate your opponents. Whether you’re new to Arrancar or looking to optimize your current setup, this guide has you covered.

Best Arrancar Build Guide (Hollow)

Arrancar’s current meta feels a bit rough with zero Reiatsu, but this build makes up for it with insane combo potential and fast-paced gameplay. By stacking 60 Speed and 5 Kendo for safeguard, you get the perfect balance between survivability and overwhelming your enemies with quick attacks.

The build thrives on chaining skills, resetting partials, and maintaining constant pressure, thanks to carefully picked skill boxes and the game-changing Proficiency core skill.

Stats & Skill Tree Setup

Stats: 5 Kendo / 60 Speed
Speed is king here. It opens up combo options and lets you control fights better than any other stat right now. Kendo is there just for some extra safeguard.

Skill Boxes:

  • Strata Strike — a versatile strike that combos well with your partials and other attacks
  • Ghost Cleave — great follow-up for combos and mix-ups
  • Partial Core — absolutely essential; lowers your partial rate cost and fully resets your partial cooldown when you land an Oscaris.

Core Skill:

  • Proficiency — now gives you HEO (Healing Effectiveness Override), which boosts your survivability while also giving you extra charges for more combos.

Weapon Choices (Neliel’s Katana is the Best!)

I’m rocking Neliel’s Katana on this build — this sword packs a punch with strong crits and insane combo flexibility. You can link it into Ghost Cleave, Strata Strike, and even surprise enemies by chaining after a Strat Strike when they least expect it.

If you’re lucky enough to have a Dimensional Shard, it’s also a solid option. Honestly, both swords are strong, so go with whichever feels more comfortable for you.

Cero (Projectile) Setup

  • Cero Oscaris and Blade Cero are must-haves for this build. These two fast Ceros confuse enemies and keep the pressure on. Most players don’t block the second Cero, which lets you capitalize quickly.
  • Bala is an optional add-on — proficiency buffs it by increasing the number of tracking balls, adding decent extra damage and distraction.

Partial & Combos

  • Partial: Horse
Horse is fantastic solo partial for extending combos unless you have Ancient Vasto. Ancient Vasto lets you get two partials back, which is insane.
  • Horse X Ability:
This X ability is clutch for combo extensions — you can chain it into Fast Fang, Ghost Cleave, and even Strata Strike (although the latter can be a little glitchy underground). If you expect baiting, consider swapping the X ability to a counter for shutting down aggressive plays.

Killer Combos to Try

  • Horse X → Fast Fang: Quick burst combo that catches enemies off guard.
  • Oscaris → Blade Serero: Confuse and pressure opponents with fast Seros back-to-back.
  • Crit → Ghost Cleave / Strata Strike: Punish opponents who mess up spacing.
  • Skyscraper Combo: Use Skyscraper, then the alternate version, finishing with Fast Fang. True combo if you have zero charges, but tricky with proficiency due to Fast Fang’s speed.

Tips & Alternatives

  • If you want to swap things up, try replacing Proficiency with Dodge for stacking dodges up to 4 times. You can combo dodges into your X ability or Fast Fang for some slick utility plays.
  • Consider pairing Black Claw for Reiatsu siphon and Flash Fang for the upgraded flash fang craftable weapon. This combo pairs well with Horse X for some spicy mix-ups.

Wrap-Up

So, there you have it — my go-to Arrancar build for Type Soul that’s all about speed, combo potential, and relentless pressure. While Arrancars need some Rei buffs to really shine, this setup lets you hold your own and surprise opponents with flashy, fast combos.

Try this build out, mess with the combos, and let me know how it works for you. Up next, be sure to check out my full guide on the best builds for every race in Type Soul — it’s a must-read if you want to know the current meta and how to counter each race effectively.
