Type Soul: How to Awaken Bankai

Type Soul is a new Roblox game based on the legendary anime series Bleach. In this game, you can either be a Reaper or a Hollow. Players can choose to be a Hollow or a Human with different subcategories of classes. Completing missions and raids helps to progress in the game. This guide will focus on how to awaken the Bankai.

How to Awaken Bankai

There are three stages involved in awakening the Bankai that will be broken down in detail in this guide. Without further ado, let’s get right into it!

First Stage

There are three possible methods to complete the first stage, so you have to choose one and stick with it to the end.

Raid Wins

The second method involves participating in and winning Raids. However, these cannot be any Raids in the game. These must be Non-Karakura Town Raids that occur every 40 minutes of the server time and not the real-world time. For more information on winning each raid, check the following guide on How to Win Every Raid in Type Soul.

The non-Karakura town raids are essentially Hometown raids, so the best place to farm them are Wandan, Hueco Mundo, and Soul Society. We recommend joining your faction channel in the Type Soul Discord to find raids easily. You must win around 150-200 Raids to complete stage 1 through this method. This is easy but the most tedious in terms of effort required.

Healing in Raids

The final method is to heal your allies in Raids. However, in our opinion, this method is much more difficult than the Raid wins due to the poor healing system implemented in the game. Additionally, the scaling of health healed is also really poor, so making progress requires more time in this method.

Hence we don’t recommend this method for completing your stage 1 requirements.

Hunting Elo

The first method involves killing players with Semi Elite rank or higher to obtain Elo. You have to keep grinding Elo until you are in the Top 100 players on the server. After this requirement has been met, you must stay on the server for around 10-20 hours. This will automatically bypass the first stage, and you can start with the second stage.

However, this method is extremely hard since you will already be at a disadvantage as most players in the top 100 will already have their Bankai. Hence, we do not recommend indulging in this method due to its difficulty.

Checking Progression

Checking your progression during the first stage is also important. For this purpose, head over to Karakura Town, and at the crossroads, you will locate a shed with a half-opened Shutter.

Go inside this and use the stairs to get to the second floor. Here you will find an NPC that will have different dialogues depending on your stage 1 progress. For stage 1, your progress won’t be reset when you die, so you should not be worried about that. The image below corresponds to the various dialogues that this NPC has depending on the player’s progress in stage 1.

Second Stage

Completion Requirements

Once stage 1 has been completed, players can progress to the second stage. The first requirement is to defeat between 150-200 Hollows. We recommend farming hollows in Heuco Mundo since that this the homeland for them and Arrancars. Moreover, you must defeat the Bowa Boss around 5-10 times. Lastly, you must obtain between 60-65 Elite Player Grips, which means you must defeat them. This is arguably the hardest part of this stage.

The community is divided over this since a few players, after testing, have confirmed that you can obtain grips by defeating one person repeatedly. However, others have said that this does not work. We are not sure if the latter does indeed work, but you test it and check if you have made any progress by talking to your Shikai by pressing the M button.

Stage 3 Entry Requirements

After you have completed the aforementioned stages, you need to talk to Kisuke to discover your Zanpakuto. If you have indeed completed the requirements, then he will allow you to take this next step. Otherwise, you have to figure out which requirement is still incomplete.

Talking to Kisuke

Finding you Zanpakuto is more of a hit-and-miss and will require several tries. If you die trying to complete this, you can grip two players of different factions to get a chance to try this again.

Final Stage

After completing the previous stages, you can finally access stage 3 to receive your Bankai. For Soul Reapers, this is the Bankai boss fight where you must defeat a Bankai user. This fight is extremely hard to complete, so ensure you are prepared for multiple tries. It is very unlikely to defeat this boss on the first try, so take the first couple of tries to learn attack patterns and moves.

Boss fight arena

For Arrancars, they must complete a maze that is completely random each time. Lastly, for Quincy players, you have to parry the Holy Lights for one and a half minutes after that, you just talk to Kisuke and get the layer 2 Vollstanding which is the Bankai equivalent.

We hope that this guide helped you understand the requirements of getting a Bankai. Most of the information in this guide relies on ranges since the developers don’t explicitly state these requirements, and these ranges are from players that have gotten their Bankai.
