The newest Type Soul update introduces a quest from the new Soul Weaver NPC where players are tasked with finding his books. The Soul Weaver refers to these books as fragments of the past and promises to make it worthwhile if you can collect them all. What’s interesting about this quest is that it’s not just about collecting some books, instead, this quest leads you down a rabbit hole of mystery. You can find secret codes scattered in the world that give hints about the possible book locations. In this guide, I’ll discuss the Soul Weaver’s secret codes and the possible book locations.

Secret Codes and Book Location Clues

First of all, you need to find the Soul Weaver NPC to start this quest. You can find him in To find the secret code, you first have to go to Wandenreich. Once you’re outside the gates, head inside and take a left turn into the city. Inside, you should enter one of the houses and uncover a secret code.

Inside Wandenreich

Take the next step and walk along the houses. You’ll notice that the doors to most houses will be blocked by snow. Keep going in that direction until you reach the leftmost corner of the city; from here, walk forward along the houses.

Take these directions from the gate of Waldenreich.

Walk along this path and look for the house you can enter.

There will be a glowing house down the end of the road. You can enter this house where you’ll find a wooden box on a table.

This is what the box with the secret codes looks like.

Interact with it and it will play a cryptic recording. Reportedly, this box cycles through 4 codes and plays in 10-minute intervals. To save you some time, here are three of the codes:

  •  2 5 6 3 4 4 0 8 2 0 3 enigma 4 hopeless 1.
  • (In Morse Code) “There is nothing but a reality that is not in tune with what you see in our vision.”
  • (unsure) 157872165

Take the last code above with a grain of salt. The box’s recordings are muffled and the codes have been interpreted differently by players. As of now, we don’t know what these codes mean, but we’re almost certain that they have something to do with the Soul Weaver quest.

Possible Book Locations and More

Apart from the secret codes, lots of information has been going around the Type Soul servers as players scramble to locate the books. Some of the information has already been proven false, and most are still questionable. After some research, this is the information we can give you.

Seireitei

Players have reported finding a book here. If you’ve already tried and haven’t seen the book, don’t worry.

What we know now is that the books have an approximately 3-hour respawn/despawn time. This means that if someone on the server takes the book before you do, it will take another 3 hours before you can collect it yourself.

Additionally, it has been reported that you need to enter through the KT Gate to trigger the book to spawn. While this hasn’t been confirmed, play it safe and follow this rule to make sure the book spawns for you.

The top of Seireitei is the first of four book locations.

Los Noches

The next book has reportedly been found in a pillar in Los Noches. Once again. If you’ve checked this location and can’t see the book, that probably means that you need to wait 3 hours before you can pick it up.

A pillar in Los Noches is one of the four book locations.

Wandenreich

You can also find a book in Wandenreich at the base of the tall tree (pictured below). Use the ice behind the tree as a reference on which tree to locate.

This tree in Waldenreich will have the next book.

Rukon

The next book can be found near the waterfall in Rukon. Look for the book right beside the waterfall hidden close to the rocks.

This one is trickier to find, but the right of one of the waterfalls in Rukon will have a book.

Once again, we aren’t sure what the secret codes mean, but hopefully, the book locations listed here will give you a good head start – just keep the 3-hour respawn time in mind when you get to these locations.
