Disney Dreamlight Valley has a new free update that adds some new quests to the game alongside new Villagers you can unlock. One such quest is the Uncanny Romance quest related to the new character Sally.
This quest has a lot of requirements that can be a bit confusing for players. If you’re stuck at some point, we’ve got you covered! In this guide, we’ll show you how you can complete the Uncanny Romance quest. Without further delay, let’s dive in!
Uncanny Romance Quest Guide
To complete the Uncanny Romance quest in Disney Dreamlight Valley, you will need to have unlocked Sally in the game. You can do this by completing The Woven Bridge quest that was also added as part of the free quest.
Once you have Sally, you’ll be able to do this quest.
Plant And Harvest Deadly Nightshade
After you unlock the Uncanny Romance quest, Sally will give you some Deadly Nightshade seeds to plant. You will get a total of x10 seeds that you will need to plant.
So, starting off, you’ll need to dig x10 holes and plant the seeds inside. After that, you will need to wait 15 minutes for the seeds to grow.
You can actually speed up this growth considerably using a Miracle Growth Elixir. To craft one, you’ll need the following materials:
- x10 Vitalys Crystals
- Can be obtained from caves between Sunlit Plateau and Forbidden Lands
- x10 Rich Soil
- x500 Dreamlight.
Use this elixir on the seeds and the Deadly Nightshade will grow almost instantly. However, again, this is completely optional. Harvest the plants and bring them to Sally.
Bring Night Shards
After you bring the Deadly Nightshade to Sally, you’ll need to talk to Jack Skellington. He’ll tell you that you need to bring him x2 Night Shards.
Night Shards can be crafted by using Onyx. Onyx is a material that can be found everywhere in Disney Dreamlight Valley. After you craft the Night Shards, bring them back to Jack.
Ask Villagers For Advice
When you return the Night Shards, Jack and Sally will then go on a date as part of the Uncanny Romance quest. However, this date will end awkwardly and now it’s up to you to make things right.
To do this, you’ll need to get dating advice from two villagers in the Valley and talk to them. These are:
- Daisy
- Minnie Mouse.
You should be able to find them pretty easily by checking your map.
Prepare Jack And Sally’s Picnic
After you’ve gotten advice, you’ll need to set up a picnic for Jack and Sally. This consists of two parts: baking some goods and setting up furniture.
To make them goods, you’ll first need to learn the recipes. You’ll automatically get access to two recipes in your Inventory. Make sure to learn them from here so that you can then make them.
To make the recipes, head to Remy’s Shop where you’ll be able to bake them. Here are the two recipes and the ingredients that they require:
- Halloween Gingerbread Cookies
- Wheat, Pumpkin and Ginger
- Caramel Apples
- Sugarcane and Apples.
These ingredients are pretty easy to get and by this point, you’ll likely have a lot of these.
Next, you’ll need to set up furniture in the Forbidden Lands. You can do this anywhere in the Forbidden Lands, so try to find a nice empty spot that has room for your furniture.
After that, go to the Furniture Menu and you should be able to see four requests from Sally. Click on these requests and they’ll show you what kind of furniture is needed for each request.
Here are the types of furniture you need to place:
- Holiday Tree Portal x1
- Outdoor Furniture x2
- Halloween Furniture x3
- Black Furniture x4.
You can place any furniture in each of these categories.
The Holiday Tree Portal is one that confuses many players as it does not appear in the request for most players. This is because this is the same tree that you get from Jack Skellington at the start.
So, more than likely, you will have already placed it somewhere on the map. Simply locate it and place it near the rest of the furniture to continue with the Uncanny Romance quest.
Place Halloween Picnic Kit
When the picnic is set up, return to Sally and talk to her. After that, you will be given a Halloween Picnic Kit that will automatically be added to your furniture. You will need to place this near the Holiday Tree Portal that you placed in the previous step.
Once that’s done, you’ll need to take a picture of Jack and Sally as part of the date. Doing so will finish the Uncanny Romance quest.
