Undawn – Best Expertise Class For PvE & PvP

Best expertise classes!

Undawn is a post-apocalyptic survival game developed by Lightspeed Studios. It takes place after a global outbreak that results in infected roaming about. The game involves building shelters, taking on quests, and exploring different terrains while fighting off hordes of zombies. This guide will focus on the best expertise classes for both PvE and PvP players.

Best Expertise Class PvE & PvP

For PvE combat we recommend using the Assault or the Explosive expertise. For PvP based combat using the Support or the Sniper Expertise is recommended.

Expertise unlocks once you have progressed far enough in the game. This allows you to choose a class that gives access to a special weapon alongside the expertise specific perks. At first, this system might seem confusing, but that is not the case once you get used to it. Additionally, the class you choose initially is not permanent, as in the bottom left, you can switch your expertise. Moreover, any expertise points spent on a particular gun will still be retained, making it much easier to switch between classes.

Changing expertise

This mechanic allows players to freely switch between different load-outs depending on if the situation is PvP or PvE-focused. Hence, don’t worry too much about incorrect selections and focus on experimenting and finding a class that suits your playstyle.

Assault Expert

The Assualt Expert is sort of the jack of all trades due to its balanced stats. It provides high damage with high mobility and explosions. However the range and support stats are not that good indicating that this class is best used in close and middle quarters combat.

Due to the high fire rate and damage this class is good for crowd control. For new players that are looking for an overall well balanced class we recommend that they choose this one.

Explosive Expert

The Explosive Expert expertise comes with the M32 Gernade Launcher which is capable of dealing high damage over a wide area. This means that it is great for fighting off hordes of zombies. Additionally, this class is purely a PvE class since in PvP players are a lot more separated making it difficult to hit targets.

Support Expert

As the name suggests the Support Expertise is meant for supporting allies and keeping enemies at bay. The damage provided by the class is low but this is compensation for by the mobility and support stats.

Support expertise

The real advantage of this class comes in the form of its perks which allow the user to not only heal more efficiently but also increases defense and other stats. This class is arguably the hardest to play since it is not damage oriented. Hence, it is best to only delve into this class after gianing some experience regarding how the game works.

Sniper Expert

The Sniper Expertise allows players to engage in long range combat allowing them to pick off distant enemies with ease. This class is best for PvP combat as you can keep opposing players at bay making sure that they are unable to attack you.

Sniper expertise

Once you are satisfied with your choosen expertise you can purchase weapon blueprints from the equipment merchant located in Ravens Shelter. These blueprints can then be crafted into weapons at the weapon workbench.
