Undawn introduces a lot of its mechanics, including cooking, to players from the tutorials. And one can say it’s gotten better from their predecessor when it comes to the variety. But one can most definitely confirm that even with that, it’s easy to get lost even with simple missions like how to cook Beer Braised Bass.
Below we’ll show you the recipe and where you can get the ingredients from in the game.
Cook Beer Braised Bass Guide
One of the guide quests on cooking teaches you how to cook Beer Braised Bass and lists the things you need to get. Namely, two black bass. And you can catch the fish from the river that runs through the Central Plains, behind The Western Outpost.
You can see the splashing on the river indicating the availability of fish to be caught. When you hover to these areas, you’ll see the species available for catching in the waters. The ones before the waterfall behind Central Plain is where you can find the Black Carp available for catching.
Press U on PC or open your Survival Gadget, then head to your Portable Tools and choose Fishing. Your fishing interface will pop up, allowing you to choose your fishing rod and bait before you start.
If you haven’t figured out how to make baits, press O on your PC or head to your Craft on-the-go function. There will be Omnivorous Fish Bait and Fishing Rod that you can craft. It costs 4 Meat, 4 Wild Berries, and 2 Wild Vegetables to craft 30 of them.
Now, pick the Omnivorous bait to catch the black bass and throw in the hook. The closer the bobber to the splashing area, the better is your catch.
After that, it’s a game of patience like actual fishing would be. You will end up with a lot of prawns, but the Largemouth Bass will eventually be in your hand. It’s a rare type, so it might take a while to catch one.
After catching two of them, you can now head to your grill at home. Put in both fish and cook. And there you go, that’s your Beer-braised Bass!
