In Undawn, you will be scouring the map for different kinds of loot. Sometimes, you will have to go somewhere high in order to find those loot. However, you’ll sometimes find your way out either blocked by enemy NPC’s, or it’s too far. Thankfully, the devs know that getting down from a high place is pretty annoying. No one wants to go all the way down at the stairs. Introducing the Safety Rope, a handy dandy machine that lets users get down safely. But how can you use this thing? Where can you get it? In this guide, I will show you how to use the Safety Rope properly.
How To Use The Safety Rope
In order to use the Safety Rope, you will need to find a ledge, one where there is solid ground underneath. Afterwards, open the Survive menu, then select Portable Tools, then lastly Rig. Once you do, you will automatically enter Rig Mode.
From here, select Safety Rope, which is the second option. Afterwards, just place the Safety Rope near a ledge and voila, you have the Safety Rope. It’s similar to a ladder, in which you just approach it and interact with it to use it. You can also use it to go back up.
In case you don’t know how to craft the Safety Rope, here’s how. It can be crafted in the crafting menu. Open it and go to the Rig section. There, you will find Safety Rope as the second option. To craft one, you will need to have 20 Stone and 1 Steel Rope ready. Once you do, craft it.
Bear in mind that the Safety Rope does not last forever. These things only last 10 minutes and will break after the duration is up. You cannot pick it back up again to reuse it as well. It’s important to have at least 3 Safety Ropes ready just in case.
