Step style in Unusual Force 4 may just be one of my personal favorites because of its combo potential. In this guide, I will focus on showing you what each skill of the Step does and how to make the best out of it. Moreover, I’m going to share some tips and tricks that you can also use with this style.
Step Style Guide
The Step is possibly one of the easier styles when it comes to combo-lovers. It is a great style to punish people (and learning your mistakes from!) due to the short range.
Step has 5 M1 combo, 2 Offensive skills, 1 Heat Mode, and 1 Quick Step. Equipping this style gives you:
- Really good and fast combo potential
- Average HP
- High damage combo
- Short range
- Fast block
Step Style Skills & How To Use Them
Massive has 4 skills and here’s how they work:
- Fist Skill, Pierce Kick (1 bar): You dash forward for a kick, grants yourself Super Armor while breaking guards. This is a great combo ender for that extra damage! Time this after your 4th M1 for an extended Slashing Kick Barrage move, very important for combo extending. It cna be blocked, though.
- Second Skill, Fierce Rain (2 bars): Great for a surprise attack because of the range despite your short M1 range. This is also another combo extender.
- Third Skill, Extreme Step: Flying Kick (3 bars): This mode buffs your M1 and allow you to guard break with it for 20 seconds. It turns into slower, but stronger flying with better range and hit.
Step is very easy to dominate with because of the combo potential. You can easily get most styles down to half HP with a single combo. It’s also a style that easily punishes people but can be disastrous if you don’t understand how short your combo is.
- Punishing using bait with block after a dash in or fake M1 is typically a great way to initate the battle.
- Mix defensive with aggressive playstyle. If your patterns gets easy to predict, you’ll lose against a lot of styles simply due to your range.
- Don’t rely on your Third Skill because that will lock you to your M1 combos only as you lose heat.
And that’s how you can slam dunk your opponents with the Step style in Unusual Force 4! If you have questions or concerns, feel free to leave them in the comments section below.
