One of the things I really like to do in games that you can build houses with is to try and build a house over the water. While in real life I am absolutely terrified of being over a large body of water, video games are a different story (except Subnautica and Sea of Thieves, those games terrify me). In video games, I like to build a house over the water because for the main reason: it looks cool. If you want to build one over in Valheim, we can teach you how.

Create a Platform Over Water
Building over the water actually requires you to first build a platform over the water. You can do this by using the Raise Ground tool. This tool will essentially help you raise the ground to your preferred height. It is recommended to have at least 4 points of ground support raised up. Once you have that, the next objective is to put support beams around the 4 points.
After putting these support beams around the platform, you will need to replace them with a much sturdier material. Once replaced, you will then be able to put a platform across the wide open space.
This is essentially your foundation, and once you have your foundation set, you can then place whatever material you want as your floor. Wood or stone, place it on the ground. You should also not forget to put a set of stairs that can help you get down easily.
