My fellow Zasshu (Gilgamesh reference), the King of Heroes has finally made his way to Verse Piece! This guide covers all of the requirements to buy Gilgamesh, which order to get them, and at the end, a showcase of all his abilities on release. Let’s dive right in!

How to Get Gilgamesh in Verse Piece

Obtaining Gilgamesh will require you to have a few items beforehand. Refer to the table below for more information:

ItemsQuantityWhere to Obtain
Babylon’s Fragment10This is dropped by defeating the Gilgamesh Boss on Desert Island.
Babylon’s Key1You can find this item from the Babylon Key NPC on Bleach Island.

You will need the following items for exchange:

5,000 Gems
250 Gold
10 Boss Tickets
King of Heroes (Title)1This is also dropped by defeating the Gilgamesh Boss twenty-five (25) times.
Reputation100,000You can earn Reputation by finishing missions, trading, or bounty hunting.
Gems10,000These are generally dropped by defeating any boss in the game.

To summarize, you want to obtain the King of Heroes (Title) first, as this will help you quickly farm Reputation and stack up on Gems faster. This is because equipping the Title grants you the following stat multipliers:

  • x5 Money
  • x5 EXP
  • x5 Reputation

While you make your way to defeating the boss twenty-five (25) times, you are also able to farm the items you need, such as the Babylon’s Fragment and the requirements to buy the Babylon’s Key. Once you have everything in hand, simply head over to the Desert Island, where you can buy Gilgamesh from the Gilgamesh Teacher NPC!

If you want to bolster your overall gameplay or just know more about general game knowledge in Verse Piece,  we have guides to farming Reputation and learning all about Passives that you should give a read!

Gilgamesh Abilities Showcase

Similar to his appearances in the show, Verse Piece did not hold back replicating his famous abilities in the game. Here is an overview of Gilgamesh’s skills:

Passive (Gate of Babylon)

When the user takes damage, a golden gate opens up near an enemy that will deal 4100 damage. The passive damage will scale based on the player’s sword stats.

M1

This basic attack deals 12,100 DMG with every hit.

Z Skill

This AoE ability deals 167,660 damage around the player by dishing out weapons from Gilgamesh’s collection. This lasts for 22 seconds and has a 40-second cooldown.

X Skill

This next ability locks enemies in place while inflicting 41,900 damage in total. This ability lasts for 15 seconds with a 20-second cooldown.

C Skill

Similar to the Z Skill, larger weapons rain down from the sky, dealing 83,838 damage. The animation lasts for 11 seconds, with a 30-second cooldown.

V Skill

Finally, the last skill opens up a large portal that releases the might of Gilgamesh’s most prized treasure: Ea. This can deal up to 83,838 damage. It has a 5-second startup and only lasts for 5 seconds. Using it will have a 60-second cooldown afterward.

Should you go for Gilgamesh? I personally think that the grind to get him isn’t as difficult as it may seem on paper. His abilities also have great damage and range—befitting of someone like the King of Heroes. The real question is, why would you pass up on having his abilities in the first place?
