As a JRPG, there is going to be no shortage of side quests to tackle in Visions of Mana, and even though they’re optional, these are typically worth doing for the rewards. One such side quest is Natural Quillosophy, which has you finding some “organic” needles for an acupuncturist in need. Here is a quick guide on how to get it done!
How to Get Needlion Quills | Natural Quillosophy Quest
At the Free City of Tsaata, you get to meet Hurrigon, an acupuncturist who somehow doesn’t have enough needles left lying around for his craft. So let’s help him out!
For this one, all you need to do is gather five Needlion quills. The quest notes don’t actually point you towards any direction, but the objective is pretty straightforward.
Just leave the city and run around Khaswia Moors to find some wild Needlions scattered all throughout the zone. They are typically around level 16 or so, which should be close or at least equal to yours by now.
That’s really all there is to it. Just find packs of Needlions and kill them all to get their quills. You only need to finish a couple of fights to get all the quills you need, which takes absolutely no time at all.
If you are feeling especially lazy, you can force them to respawn by simply fast traveling. Either way, there will be a handful of different spawns all over the place, and they will always drop varying numbers of quills.
After that, just return to Hurrigon at the Free City of Tsaata to turn in all of the Needlion quills and complete the quest. This should get you a reward of a few thousand Lucre. It’s pretty much just free money for how easy the side quest is!
