Warhammer 40k: Boltgun is a fast-paced boomer-shooter even though you’re a space marine with 50 tanks worth of metal on you. With all that speed and killing the mutant, the Xenos and the heretic, you might miss a few secrets here and there that’s around the level. These secrets can help you a lot, from powerful ammunition to upgrades that last the level.
In this guide, we’ll show you where to find all of the hidden secrets in Chapter 2, Mission 2 of the game. Now load your bolters and charge your plasma rifles because there’s a lot of enemies out there!
All Secrets Chapter 2 Mission 2
All of the secrets found in the game are placed there by the developers to help you out in clearing enemies. That’s all and good if it’s your first run but if it isn’t and you just want to get all the secrets then you can clear the level first of enemies before looking for them!
Secret #1 – Vengeance Boltgun Magazine
At the very start of the level go through the area until you reach the rock arch with a flag shown on the image above.
You’ll want to go through the arch and use another arching rock in front to go forward.
You can jump onto that arching rock and follow it down to a chasm where there’s a demon that spawns. There you’ll find the first secret, a Vengeance Boltgun Magazine.
Secret #2 – Munitions Boost
After getting the first secret continue through the level until you use the first moving platform. Once you get to the other side go down the building.
You’ll encounter a Chaos Marine as you go down. Look to the right of where the Marine was and you’ll find a secret in a corner. Just jump to it and get it.
Secret #3 – Vortex Grenade
For the next secret we’ll start from the last one. Just jump down the hole next to where the secret was.
Once you drop down go to the end of the hallway where there’s a secret wall. Go up to it and interact with it to open it.
The wall will slide down and show the secret behind it which is a Vortex Grenade!
Secret #4 – Kraken Boltgun Magazine
Continue through the level from the previous secret and shortly after you’ll find another moving platform. Use it to continue.
Once you get to the other side, you’ll open a door and see some cultists and a lift. We don’t need the cultists so turn them into paste.
While using the lift there’s a platform that you can jump to in the middle of the lift’s path. Jump there and you’ll find the next secret on that platform.
Secret #5 – Dragonfire Boltgun Magazine
You’ll have to continue through the mission until you reach another moving platform that spans a long rail. Before that you encounter a bunch of chaos marines in a hallway so that’s always fun.
What you need to do is get on the platform and use it, then keep an eye on the left. The first platform closest to yours is our target, jump there. When you follow that platform’s path you’ll get to another secret: a Dragonfire Boltgun Magazine.
Secret #6 – Machine Spirit
Now go back to the moving platform, which might take a while if you completely missed it like me. Go back to following the rail path the platform takes and keep an eye on the right this time. Close to the end of the line is a small platform and room that you can jump to.
Inside that room is the blessing of the Machine Spirit! Make sure to equip the weapon you want to use it on because it sticks through the rest of the level. I personally like upgrading the Plasma gun because I’m a huge fan of it!
Secret #7 – Aura of Doom
From the previous secret you can jump the gap to the solid ground. There you’ll see a hole that goes down. This is the path that continues the level.
Jump down the hole killing the demons that are along the way and you’ll reach an area with a door. Open the door to see a mini-boss and defeat it. Continue on and you’ll enter a large area.
This large area is a purge area where there’s a lot of pickups and enemies that will spawn. Specially Aspiring Champions so watch out for that! In the middle of the area on a stone pillar is the last secret that can help you out in purging!
You can reach that area by using the building to its side, which is also the end of the level!
