There hasn’t been a lot of hunting games lately which is sad for the genre. There has been more walking and fishing simulators than there are Hunting simulators in the market for the past few years now. The biggest game in the reserve was The Hunter: Call of The Wild for a long time, but not they finally have competition with the Way of The Hunter. These games share some similarities, and one of them is that you need permission to hunt on certain places. For The Hunter it was DLC maps, for Way of The Hunter it’s Private Land, in this guide we’ll show you how Private land Works and how to hunt in it.

How Private Land Works & How To Gain Access To It In Way Of The Hunter

As the name states, Private land is hunting grounds that is privately owned by a group or an individual. You’ll know it’s private land when you enter it and there is a big sign on the top saying “Permission to Hunt Required.” When you try to hunt in this private area without permission, all of your kills will be seized by the Private area owner, making it effectively a waste.

There are two ways of gaining access to these private hunting grounds, the easiest way is like most things in the world, fixed with money. When you go to the Shop tab and go to Boundaries you can see the all of the hunting permits you can get in the game. Buying these permits will give you access to these lands, although they can be a bit pricey.

Another way to get permission from the land owners is to do quests for them. When entering camps or cabins in their lands there’s usually quests there that you can take. Doing these quests will increase your reputation with the land owners. Until you can finally get their approval to hunt in their land.

These quests can range from hunting a number of animals or hunting specific rare animals that the quest spawns. This will give hunters an incentive in doing these quests if they want to get rare and unique hunting trophies.

Once you’ve bought the proper permits or done the quests, you’ll be able to hunt in these private lands. This gives you more chances to get more animals and unlock the rest of the map.
