Hunting Simulators can be relaxing at times and most players play games like these for that. You don’t go running around shooting everywhere because that’ll just spook the animals before you can even get a good shot. Even if you get a shot on them there’s a high chance that it won’t be a clean shot, that means you’ll have to wait for the animal to bleed out and follow their blood trail which can take too long. In Way of The Hunter there’s the quest Harvest Hollywood Guide that needs you to hunt a specific animal, and in this guide, we’ll show you how.
How To Harvest Hollywood Guide | Mission In Way Of The Hunter
There are plenty of missions in Way of The Hunter that you can take. Some of these missions make you hunt a number of animals while others need you to hunt specific types of animals. The Hollywood quest makes you hunt a Mule Deer with one abnormal antler.
When you take the quest, you’ll see on the map the area where the deer can be located. In that area is a river with a place where these kinds of deer drink. There is also a hunting tower there that you can use to conceal yourself and setup your shot.
If you look at the Mule Deer stats we recommend to have a rifle that has a hit energy of between 1,576 to 3,783 Joules, so keep that in mind when picking your weapon for the hunt. A great scope is also suggested since you’ll be looking for a specific deer. You’ll also see that Mule Deers drink water at around 09:00 so be there before then if you want a nice shot from the hunting tower overlooking the water spot.
Once you found the deer wait for the perfect shot. A broadside shot is where you can see the whole length of the deer from your position. From there you need to aim for a good lung shot, that’s the cleanest way to take down these animals. Their lungs are usually at the back of their front legs so shoot there. Sometimes they drop immediately while most of the time they run for a bit. If you know you hit a nice shot don’t go for a follow-up shot and just let them run. After a while they’ll fall down and you can harvest them.
