There are enemies that are weak to certain magic that Frey can wield. It’s up to you to find out what they are. There are several ways to do it, but they’re two popular methods: the good old fashion trial and error, and the Genesis ability.
With the Genesis ability, you can find out what exactly is the weakness of a certain enemy. It’s a great way to get an advantage over some enemies, as they can be a lot stronger than they look.

Forspoken – Where To Find Enemies Vulnerable To Frey’s Magic
Find Syntheras South of the Northern Refuge
In Middle Praenost, there is a safe place where you can rest called the Northern Refuge.
There, you can find enemies called Syntheras, which look like monstrous goats with long horns. They can be found south of the Northern Refuge.
You can verify their vulnerability by using the Genesis ability and inspecting them. There, you will see that they are vulnerable to Frey’s Magic.
This is also a good way to complete the Spellcraft challenge for the Genesis ability, as you need to defeat 10 enemies that are vulnerable to Frey’s Magic.
Once you do defeat them, just fast-travel back to the Northern Refuge and the enemies will spawn again.
