We all love open-world survival crafting games, all 10 billion of them. I’m sure there’s at least 5 games in this genre for every grain of sand in the world. Still, there are some great ones out there that are worth your time. We’re way past the Steam Greenlight days where everyday a new one popped out of the woodwork!
Survival Fountain of Youth is another new open-world survival game where you’re a shipwrecked explorer. You already know where this is going, gather materials, craft and survive. You get to follow a story too with quests. In this guide we’ll show you how to find the Pictured Grotto.
Survival Fountain of Youth: Where to Find the Pictured Grotto
At one point after the tutorial part of Survival Fountain of Youth you’re tasked with finding the Pictured Grotto. There’s actually two ways of going there but one is a bit more dangerous than the other. If you’re new to the game and don’t know what you’re doing, go with the easy route.
For the easy route all you need to do is go to the right following the beach. Stop when you see the giant skeleton corpse of a creature. To the left on the mountain face is a cave and that’s where the Grotto is! Just be weary of the scorpions, bring and light a torch to scare them away!
The next way to go to the Grotto is just in front of the spawn. Follow the arrow shown below and stick to the mountain, there you’ll find a cave. This is the back entrance of the Grotto but it’s filled with scorpions and it’s hard to see inside.
If you want to take this path, bring a torch to tell the scorpions to move out of the way!
