Windtrace is a Hide and Seek type of game that you can do in a multiplayer setting. There will be roles of Rebels and Hunters and one will have to hide while the other group will have to do the seeking. Genshin Impact – Windtrace Guide

This is the location where you will need to arrive to begin the Windtrace quest. It will be inside the island by the name of Mondstadt. Find Gygax the NPC that is located in this location and talk to him to begin the quest.

This is a multiplayer event that you are able to do so you are required to have a stable internet connection. Once you press the Start Match you will wait for a while until you get matched with different players. There will be a total of 4 players with you included.

The Windtrace game works in this way:

• Rebel – players that are trying to hide and run away from the Hunter and take on many different shapes and disguises to help them out
• Hunter – only 1 player that is chasing the rebels and doing everything in his power to catch them all

Each round and game you will get different and current disguises that you are able to do in a Contested Zone. There can be something like wine, kegs, chairs, street lights, and so on.

Once you get inside the game you will pick out random by the game whether you will be a Hunter or a Rebel.

• Rebel – first of all, you will get a preparation phase of around 40 seconds. In this time you will need to run around the whole of the map and choose a suitable location for you to hide while being disguised in an appropriate subject
• Hunter – you will need to wait for a while until the rebels finish their preparation phase. Then you start out running inside the world map and you are on the search for the rebels. Look for anything out of the ordinary to be able to catch them a lot easier.

The Hunter has a set of skills that he can use to be able to better catch the hunters. These skills can be something like freezing the rebels, or having better skills to reveal them, and so on. They are very handy to use especially if you are near a rebel but aren’t sure where to find one exactly.

If you are a Rebel it is a very good strategy to be hiding in not-so-obvious places and something near you to make you blend it. For example, if you are a lantern in the middle of a rock you’ll be found. But if you are a lantern next to a city road you’ll be much more difficult to notice.
