Wo Long Fallen Dynasty: Deflect Guide

Although Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty might feel and look like a hack-and-slash game, it is much more in-depth than that offering a big arsenal of attack and defense moves.

One of the most underappreciated but powerful moves is the deflect.

In this guide, we shall explain to you how to use it and learn it better. Let’s get started.

Deflect Guide – Wo Long Fallen Dynasty

Each enemy in Wo Long has a different attack timer that you need to know when wanting to deflect their strikes. The simple explanation of how the deflect works, is pressing the Deflect button at this exact and perfect time of that monster slash timer.

You are able to hold down your defend button and then once an enemy attacks you, you can press the deflect button to make you an overly better and more powerful warrior.

It is literally a gamechanger.

You are going to want to press the B button just when the attack or projectile coming from your enemy is just near you. When holding the defense button and doing it you’ll activate a deflect counterattack that will stagger the monster over time.

As you can see in the picture above, the tiger is about to attack. So you hit the deflect button. Once that line meter under the Hp gets to the maximum the enemy will stagger or get stunned.

Now, just walk up near it and do the heavy attack to activate a deadly animation.

Another tactic to go for is simply not to defend or block at all. Just do the deflects as much as possible so that you will evade all attacks. Once the meter is up, use it to your advantage and do massive DMG on the enemy.

That’s all there is to it! We recommend that you find some lower-level enemies like the archer and the tiger at the beginning of the game and try it out on them until you perfect the deflect. Good luck!
