You Are Not Authorized – Dead Space Remake 2023 | Full Clearance Achievement

With how vast and wide the Ishimura is, it’s only natural that there are some doors that you cannot access unless you are part of the crew. But even then, there are some crew members that could only access even higher security doors, while others cannot because of their security clearance.

In Dead Space Remake, Isaac gradually gets higher security clearance as the game goes on, but what if I tell you there is a way to override that clearance? It’s called the Master Override, and you can get it by doing the You Are Not Authorized side mission.

Dead Space Remake 2023 – Full Clearance Achievement

To get the Master Override that hides some of Dead Space’s weapon upgrades and resources, you will need to find 7 RIG’s of specified crew members. These crew members are long dead, so you don’t have to worry about having to ask them for it.

Bear in mind though that some crew members are in areas that you might not access yet, depending on what chapter you are on. As you play the game, areas of the Ishimura will open up to you. When that happens, the game will let you know if you can access the area that contains the crew members’ RIG.

You can find all RIG locations all at once if you do it in Chapter 11, which is near the end of the game and where you have to leave the Ishimura and go to Aegis VII.

#1 Voelker’s RIG Location

The first RIG you can find is Voelker’s. This is how you can start the side mission, You Are Not Authorized.

You can get his RIG when Chapter 3 starts where you need to reach the Engineering Deck.

Voelker’s RIG can be found on the left side of Hanger Bay. His body can be seen floating next to a shining purple light, which is the RIG.

Once you have the RIG, hold onto it until you reach the Bridge.

Once at the Bridge (which you will reach when you get to Chapter 4), finish your conversation with Hammond and head to the console to the right.

Here, you will be able to use Voelker’s RIG, but you still won’t be able to get the Master Override. You will need to then find 6 other RIGs from other crew members that are spread out all over the ship.

#2 White’s RIG Location

The next RIG you can find is White’s RIG, which can be found in Chapter 4 as well.

When you are going to the ABS Cannons to recalibrate them to shoot asteroids, White’s RIG can be found in this area. I recommend that you finish recalibrating the ABS Cannons as the asteroids are highly dangerous while you move outside.

When the asteroids are taken care of, head to the area near the edge of the ship. There will be a floating body next to a purple light, which is White’s RIG.

#3 Holt’s RIG Location

Moving forward until you reach Chapter 6, you will eventually reach the Hydroponics area. Here, you can find Holt’s RIG in the East Grow Chamber.

You will have to do some objectives first, however, which involves injecting the Wheezer’s with the enzymes.

When you reach the Inject Wheezer 05 objective, you will find yourself in the East Grow Chamber.

There should be an elevator that you will take down, but it’s blocked by large tentacles. You will need to shoot all the weak spots of the tentacles to reveal Holt’s dead body, which was presumably smashed by the tentacle. Next to his body is the RIG.

#4 Dallas’ RIG Location

The next RIG is part of the main story, so you won’t have to worry about missing this. This can be found in Chapter 7 when you are in the Mining area of the ship, specifically the Processing Chamber.

After you have turned on gravity in the Processing Chamber, you will be able to go inside the Processing Control room, where Dallas’ RIG is found.

Next to Dallas’ dead body is his RIG. You can find an audio log as well that shows you how gruesome his death was.

#5 Rousseau’s RIG Location

The fifth RIG you can find is Rousseau’s, which is located in the Engineering area.

However, it is locked behind a level 3 security clearance door, meaning that even though Engineering can be reached early on in the game, you cannot get Rousseau’s RIG until you get Level 3 clearance, which you can only get once you reach Chapter 7.

Once you have Level 3 security clearance, head on back to Engineering and make your way to the top floor of Fuel Storage. You will find the door easily as it should have the number 3 on it.

Inside, you will find some resources and Rousseau’s RIG (also a Necromorph, but that might be a random occurrence).

#6 Bailey’s RIG Location

In Chapter 8, you will have to fix the Comms Array in the Communications Hub. You can also find Bailey’s RIG here.

This one is easy to find as it’s in the same room you need to complete your objectives in. When you reach the Comms Control Room, there will be a door to your left. This is Bailey’s room.

Once you open the door, you will find Bailey’s dead body and his RIG behind him, as well as an audio recording

#7 Benson’s RIG Location

The last RIG you will get is Benson’s RIG, which can be found in the Tram Tunnels. However, this area is inaccessible until you reach Chapter 10.

Once you get the objective to reach the Executive Shuttle, you will be able to go through the Crew Deck and into the Tram Tunnels.

It’s going to be incredibly dark, so keep your gun up at all times as it is your only source of light (and because there will be Necromorphs waiting to jump you).

Once you defeat the Necromorphs, you should be able to find Benson’s RIG right next to a chest.

Go Back to the Bridge and Build the Master Override

With all of the RIGs now in your inventory, just head back to the Bridge and interact with the console to build the Master Override.

Now, almost anything that is locked can be unlocked (not everything, as there are some doors that cannot be opened for story reasons).

This will also complete the You Are Not Authorized side mission and reward you with an achievement for your troubles.
