We all know her by the name Sadako Yamamura, the titular antagonist of The Ring franchise that struck fear into the hearts of many everytime they saw TV Static. In DBD’s case, Sadako is renamed into The Onryo, a deadly spirit capable of using telekinesis to maim and injure foes.
Read on to find out the best ways to counter this nigh undetectable killer.
How To Defeat Onryo
Much unlike Nurse who can blink into existence, and Spirit who can trick survivors with phasing, Sadako’s kit is designed to jump-scare the Survivors to catch them off guard as she builds up condemned.
She has less pursuit potential in her kit even with the decaying speed she gains after projecting herself through a TV, you can easily outrun and outmaneuver her.
- Prepare escape route
The first thing you’d want to do is find a safe route that will lead you away from the TVs as much as possible. Sadako only has her melee attacks to really deal damage so keeping a safe distance away from her and from her TVs should be your best bet.
- Monitor meter
Do note to look out for your condemned meter to avoid insta-kills.
- Stop teleportation
way to disable her teleport skill would be to turn off the TVs you do come across and retrieve a tape inside it.
NOTE: This cursed tape, though will slowly build up condemned so you would need to find the highlighted TV to deposit the tape as soon as possible.
That’s most of the tips that will surely allow you to survive and escape her wrath.
The Onryo is definitely a good character to play against, immersing you into the universe of The Ring series as the game borrows beautifully from the plot points of the movie.
Good luck and make sure to not look into her eyes!
