The Front is a new open-world survival game that is currently in early access. In it, you play as a resistance fighter who is sent back in time to put an end to an evil empire. As a survival game, there are many things you have to watch out for, including your hunger. With that said, how exactly do you cook food on a fire in The Front?

How to Cook Food on the Fire

The first step is to craft a bonfire. For this, you will need 12 wood, 5 fiber, and 3 stone. Once you have enough materials, simply place one down on the ground.

Next, interact with the bonfire by pressing the “F” button to open up the crafting menu. With the crafting menu up, you should be able to see the recipes on the left side of the screen.

At the moment, all you should see is roast meat, which will require two pieces of raw meat. To cook food, you will first have to turn on the bonfire itself.

To do this, add some wood to the Consumable Bar on the upper right hand side of the crafting menu. After doing that, click on the Activate button.

Now, while the fire is still active, place your ingredients on the bonfire’s Inventory Bar, which can be found right under the Consumable Bar.

Once you’ve added the raw meat to the Inventory Bar, you can now click on the Roast Meat recipe and the option to create it should pop up in the middle of the crafting menu. The crafting process should only take three seconds.
