There’s a new open-world survival game in town, called Undawn. Like any other survival game, you must establish a decent food supply. You can farm, hunt, or fish so you won’t starve.
In this article, I will show you a guide on how to fish in Undawn. Get your fishing pole ready, and head out to your homestead’s nearest body of water or venture out in the wilds to find that perfect fishing spot.
How To Fish In Undawn
Fishing is common among new players in Undawn. This is one way of gathering food or completing a quest that requires players to catch a particular fish. However, to catch a fish, you must first have a fishing rod and bait.
Here’s what you need to do to catch a fish in Undawn:
- First, you must craft a Fishing rod. Open the crafting menu and scroll down until you find the fishing rod. Be sure you have 500 Wood and 4 Iron ore. If you have all the materials, you can craft the fishing rod.
- Next, to catch a fish, you must have a bait. There are a few types of baits in the game. But I recommend using the Common Fish Bait. To craft the bait, you will need 5 Meat and 5 Plant Fibers.
- When you have the Fishing rod and a bunch of Common Fish Bait. Head over a river and find your spot. Open the Survival Menu, and open the Portable Tool section then press the Fishing rod to equip it in your hands.
- Now, to catch a fish, press the button to release the bobber into the water. Wait for a fish to bite the bait. Do not reel the bait as soon as a fish bites! Wait for a message that indicates the fish is hooked. Only then, you can press the reel button to catch your fish.
That’s all you need to do to catch a fish in Undawn. Now there are certain types of fish that you can catch in Rivers or any body of water. Be sure to catch them all and stock up for more food supply.
