Things were different back then, if you want an enemy suppressed you would usually need two to three people to fully operate one firearm. Thanks to that specific firearm we eventually got down to the M249, a simpler belt-fed light machinegun that only requires one person to function.

Now as we go further down the line in Battlebit Remastered, you too can unleash at least 800 rounds per minute upon your foes with this weapon. If you’re having difficulty about the bits and pieces you’re trying to attach to your firearm, then check out this guide and find out what loadout works best for you!

M249 Gun Guide & Best Loadout

The M249 has a damage output of 30 per shot, that’s ten less than what the AK-15 has to offer. But you’re going to use this weapon to suppress your enemies, so in between killing them or making sure they won’t be moving anytime soon this machine has you covered.

Since you’ll be rolling with at least 100 rounds loaded into your weapon, you can expect a hefty reload time that may leave you open to bullying. We’ll focus on reducing that reload time with the proper attachments.

Short / Medium Range Sight

What you would want to have on your M249 is a decent short to medium range sight that won’t compromise your mobility too much. For that you have the Strikefire and the TRI4X32. Both can cover a good amount of distance upon firing, do note that you can’t use these scopes with night vision. If that’s the case then use the Red Dot sight all the way.

Underbarrel Rail

Making sure that the tables won’t turn on you while reloading, go ahead and slap on the B-25 URK grip. It has little to no negative effect towards Control and Running Speed but greatly decreases your reload time. It geven gives you a bit more control towards your vertical and horizontal recoil.

Main Barrel

For weapons like the M249, you would usually go loud and proud as you blast your way across the desert. But using a suppressor can work to your advantage as well if you want to keep a low profile while flanking. It has no downsides whatsoever for being attached to the business end of your weapon so it’s basically a free attachment.

Other Attachments and Consumables

Now in competitive shooters, (the ones that favor game balance instead of realism) switching to your sidearm is usually a death sentence, unless you’re good with clicking heads. To give yourself a fighting chance, use nothing else but the Glock 18 for its three round burst or the Unica revolver as it’s basically a pocket rifle.

If you love a big crowd then no one should catch you without your trusty pack of C4. It’s an indispensable item that lets you blow your way through walls and negate whatever cover the enemy has left. Pair that up with the pineapple Frag Grenade for your throwables if you see anyone else with functioning limbs. These two are great to have with the M249 for that classic shock and awe approach.

With these throwables and attachments, you basically have a beast of a loadout for the M249 in Battlebit Remastered. If you fancy yourself a pacifist then we also have a guide for the medic class that you can check out!

Here we have Alexis, he's been gaming ever since the second Famicom came out. Which is probably the reason why he goes back to platformers every now and then. Somewhere down the line he started getting more and more fascinated about looking at maps change colors for three to eight hours straight. If he's not out strategizing and beating the life out of his space bar in that order there's a good chance you can find him playing an FPS or talking someone's ear out about how game balance gets in the way of realism. You can tell that he really likes getting the full experience of whatever he gets his hands on.
