BattleBit Remastered came out several months ago and has since taken the genre by storm due to how fun the game is and how little, if any, is locked behind a costly paywall. This includes massive content patches that they occasionally put out, just like Update 2.2.2. With that said, let’s go through all of the new additions and changes that came with this update.
Update 2.2.2 Everything You Need to Know | New Map, Class Changes, and More
This patch includes several major changes, including but not limited to various balance changes, new features, and quality of life fixes.
New Game Mode & Map
A new game mode called “Invasion” was added. It is summarized as a “one way frontline scenario” in which one team tries to capture all of the objectives in the map until the defenders essentially run out of safe zones to spawn in.
This is very reminiscent of a certain game mode in the Battlefield franchise, and fans of the genre will enjoy this massive and chaotic game mode that also features vehicular combat.
In addition to this, a new map known as Outskirts was also released, which is heavily based on the layout of the old version of District.
Pinging System & Map UI Changes
Pinging players will now reveal them for a few seconds on the map, and this provides you with a bit of bonus XP as a reward if anybody kills the enemy that you pinged.
With this change, they also made it so that you cannot spot players through trees or bushes, which is makes the new system a little fairer than it would have been otherwise.
The map now also shows the location of your last death. They also added an option to change its opacity in case you needed to see past the map while looking at it.
Weapon & Class Changes
Many guns were also redistributed across each class, meaning that certain classes now have access to weapon types that they previously could not equip. A new gun called the RPK16 was also released.
Various weapons also received some small changes, though nothing too significant that would likely shake up the meta. Sniper glint was changed so that it will no longer be visible through foliage, and medium range scopes can now have it at certain distances.
Bullet impact particle effects were also improved so that it is easier to determine where you’re getting shot from.
Other Significant Changes
The loadout screen was also changed, and the way you customize guns has been reworked to have more variety in color or camo combinations.
Bandaging others was made quicker for all classes in general too, but the medic will still be able to do it the fastest. Self-bandaging speed remains the same as normal.
And those are all of the significant changes that came with BattleBit’s 2.2.2 patch. There were a lot of good quality of life changes made, which makes it the perfect time to hop back in if you ever stopped playing the game!
