In Type Soul, you have the opportunity to select one of three primary races: Hollow, Quincy, or Soul Reaper. Each of these races possesses distinct skill sets and play styles that set them apart from one another. All of these classes offer highly enjoyable and different playstyles for you to experience.
Moreover, each class follows its own unique progression path. If you opt to play as a Hollow, you’ll have to evolve gradually through its progression system before you reach the final stage. Other than that, you can choose to pull off your mask to stop your progression and become an Arrancar.
Hollow Progression Guide
How To Become A Hollow
You’ll want to be killed in order to become a Lost Soul when you first log in. You can do this by fighting against tougher gamers or coming across Hollow NPCs. After that, you will respawn and become a Lost Soul. Then, you will have the option to turn into a Hollow.
Pressing Ctrl + K as a Lost Soul will force your character to pull the chains and turn you into a Hollow. You may now begin your path towards becoming stronger. You must pass through a number of phases as a Hollow to reach the ultimate Vastolorde/Vastocar form.
Menos Stage
After becoming a Hollow, the game will move you to a different server in Hueco Mundo. This is the place where Hollow players progress in Type Soul. This place is a barren wasteland with no structure besides some big buildings (Los Noches, the Espada and Soul King’s castle.)
Hollows start as Fishbone with yellow eyes, to progress you need to kill other hollow until you have red eyes and eventually become a Menos.
Here you will need to defeat other Hollow players as well as Hollow NPCs to keep progressing and evolve into a Menos. On defeating NPCs or players, you can press D to consume the body parts to add points to your progression and you can move on to the next stage.
Here you will need to defeat other Hollow players as well as Hollow NPCs to keep progressing and evolve into a Menos. While you are a Menos you can choose to rip off your mask to become a Menoscar, the weakest type of arrancar, or you can evolve again and become an Adjucha.
Adjucha Stage
As a Menos, you will need to keep farming NPCs and fighting against other Menos players at the same stage to keep progressing. Once you have defeated enough players, you’ll be able to evolve and become an Adjucha.
As an Adjucha, you can choose to pull off your mask and become an Adjucar, a stronger type of Arrancar. You can also choose to become a Vastolorde, continuing to evolve presents a more difficult challenge. However, you can definitely try your luck at taking on the extremely challenging task of becoming a Vastolorde.
Vastolorde/Vastocar Stage
As an Adjucha, you must obtain 25 Mask Cracks in order to become a Vastolorde. You will need to engage in battles and eliminate other Adjucha, either players or NPCs, in order to obtain these Mask Cracks. You will enter stage two after you have 25 mask cracks, at which point a text announcement will show on your screen.
In order to get past stage two, you will need to defeat another Adjucha player and not an NPC that is also on stage two. If you ever lose a fight in stage two, you’ll lose all your progress. As a result, your progress will be reset and you will have to get the 25 mask cracks all over again.
If you succeed, a text message will be shown and a Vastolorde NPC will spawn. You must go to the NPC and kill it in order to turn into a Vastolorde. On succeeding, you can advance to the level of Vastocar, the strongest Arrancar kind with special abilities and traits.
According to some of the newest information in the Type Soul Discord Server, there are some updates regarding your progress to Vastolorde that you may want to know.
- Adjucha Players 100% drop a mask if they have at least 1 mask
- NPCs also drop masks at a chance
- Failing the Vasto Lorde quest on the final stage (3rd stage) will permanently remove your potential of obtaining Vastocar.
- Obtaining Vastocar as an Arrancar is possible with the untraditional method, but this is disabled if you fail the Vasto Lorde quest.
This means that you cannot continue doing the quest if you fail at the last stage. The Vastolorde NPC may be difficult for you to defeat. If you are not confident, you can always form a party with friends and ask them to help you with progressing to the final stage. You do not want to risk doing it on your own!
That is how you progress as a Hollow in Type Soul, there are many stages that you need to go through as a Hollow. It may take you some time, but you do not want to rush it. Just be patient and find NPCs that are easy for you to defeat as you progress. Engaging in fights with other players may increase your risk of losing your progress so try to focus on PvE whenever you can.
