Harry Potter: Magic Awakened is a new card-collecting Harry Potter game. The first of its kind in the Harry Potter series, this game focuses on the player taking control of a new student at Hogwarts. The game involves collecting cards and building decks to fight against opposing players or enemies. This guide will focus on how to trade cards in the game.
How to Trade Cards
Trading Menu
To start trading cards, the first prerequisite is to be in a Social Club since this will allow you to trade cards with other players. The social club interface can be accessed from the bottom of your screen by clicking the Social icon. Clicking on this will open the Social menu, and in that tab towards the right, you can spot the Card Trade option. Select this to enter the trading menu.
Inside the exchange menu, you have to first choose the card that you want to receive. This is followed by offering between one to six cards of the same rarity as the requested card you can offer in return. Only one of the six cards offered will be exchanged to receive the requested card, and the remaining cards will be sent back to your inventory once the trade is completed.
Furthermore, you need to have an exchange token of the same rarity as the card that you are requesting. Your exchange token can be seen at the top right of the screen. There are five visible token types, each corresponding to a different card rarity. Once all the aforementioned requirements have been met, the exchange request can be created, and players can view it.
Rules
The first rule is that you cannot create more than 50 exchange requests at a particular time. Although creating 50 requests is very unlikely, this measure is most probably implemented to prevent bots from creating additional requests. The second rule is that all cards involved in the exchange are blocked from usage except legendary cards. For legendary cards, an equivalent amount of Enchanted Sand is blocked instead.
Lastly, the resources invested in the exchange request will be returned to the player if they leave the club, cancel the request, or seven days have passed since the request was created. Additionally, as mentioned before, all unused cards are returned to the player’s inventory is they were not exchanged during a trade.
Viewing Trade Requests
In order to view trades that your teammates have put up, simply choose the Social Club Exchange option in the Trading Menu. This will allow you to view all your possible trade options with your teammates. This allows you to maximize the chances of getting the card you want. It is recommended to join an active Social Club since most clubs have inactive players. This means that the requests board is usually empty.
