Genshin Impact has released another major update to give more content to the players that have been loyally playing the game to this day. Despite having another game out, Honkai: Star Rail, miHoYo obviously can’t abandon the game that put them on the public eye. In the newest update, you can find different quests that you can play and enjoy. One of which has an objective that brings you to the Ancient Castle. In this guide, I will show you how to get to the Ancient Castle for the quest that requires it in Genshin Impact.

For the objective, you will need to follow the floating Hydro Eidolon. Along the way, you will encounter obstacles that prevent the Hydro Eidolon from continuing.
While following the Hydro Eidolon, you will find these owl machines that emit a red light from their eyes. This will turn the Hydro Eidolon into stone, preventing it from progressing.
In order to have the Hydro Eidolon continue, you will need to use the boxes that are near the owl machines and push them to block their vision, which will let the Hydro Eidolon continue moving.
Along the way, you will see more owl machines that will stop the Hydro Eidolon from continuing. You can go ahead and push the boxes forward to block their vision, which will help speed up the quest and continue along smoothly.
For this one, there will be two owl machines that will stop the Hydro Eidolon from moving. Move the box to block the first owl machine. Once the Hydro Eidolon moves past it, you can then move the box back to the second owl machine to block its vision.
After the two owl machines, you will find an owl machine with no box near it. That’s because the box is buried underneath all of this rock. You will need to use a character like Zhongli to break open the rock and unearth the box and pushing it to block the owl machine.
Moving forward, you will find another owl machine that will block your progress. Except this time, there’s no box to block its vision. However, there is a way to take its attention away from the Hydro Eidolon. Approach the mushroom to its left and place two Berries to feed it. The owl machine will look at the food instead, letting the Hydro Eidolon move.
Shortly after, you will find another owl machine puzzle. Except this time, you will need to deal with two of them. In order to solve this, you will need to move the first box (the one the red arrow is pointing at) and then move the second box (the one marked by the blue arrow). After moving the second box, move the first box once again, and the Hydro Eidolon will continue moving.
You will have one more owl machine puzzle. To solve this, you will simply need to move the first box (the one marked with by the red arrow) until it reaches the end of the path and it’s next to the owl machine. Then, move the second box (the one marked by the blue arrow). Afterwards, move the first box until it block the owl machine’s vision, then move back the second box.
Follow the Hydro Eidolon, and you will successfully complete the objective.
