The Way Home is one of the side quests you can get in the Legacy Landfall. You can only get this quest after you are done with Faro’s Tomb quest. This guide will show you how you can search the Shipwreck and find the Gyrocompass.
Search the Shipwreck for Gyrocompass – Horizon Forbidden West
One of the objectives you will get in the Way Home quest is to search the Shipwreck for the Gyrocompass. The Gyrocompass can help Krista and Harriem navigate their way home. Completing this quest can give you the Skykiller weapon as a reward.
To start looking for the Gyrocompass, go to the quest area on the map above. You will find the Shipwreck site here.
Go underneath the broken bridge as seen in the photo below. There is a scrap pile here, so scavenge that scrap pile.
Once you scavenge the Scrap Pile, you can go back to Harriem and Krista to the west in Legacy Landfall. There is a campfire here that you can teleport to for convenience.
Talk to Harriem and Krista to complete the objective.
