Defeating Shadow of the Dark World Guide
Fighting the Shadow of the Dark World is one of the most difficult bosses in the game. That’s why you’ll want to get ready with the right items and tactics to defeat this boss. There are also some mechanics you might want to know at the end, which might catch players off-guard. So, let’s see how to deal with this boss!
Preparation
When going for this fight it’s important to get ready for it first. You’ll want to have all the secret items in the game with one thing you must have and that’s the Chilly Dawg. As far as consumables that you want to bring for the fight you should bring only a few damage potions. Most of the consumables you’ll need should be healing items to max out your HP.
Phases and Tactics
The Shadow of the Dark World has multiple phases. In the early days of the boss fight, there was a bug where if the boss gets to the second phase, their HP is set to 50%. That just meant players wouldn’t waste TP and just wait for the second phase, that’s not the case now since it’s been patched.
He has a first phase, a second phase and a death phase. The First phase is where you’ll want to conserve your Healing items while sometimes using damage potions. Moves like the Ignite should be used in this phase to preserve TP. Make sure you have full TP when entering the second phase.
The second phase is where the toughest part of the boss fight is. This is where you’ll want to use your healing items and moves like Boby Bounce that has a higher chance to hit. It’s best to not use moves like Ignite or Boby Buster here since they’re unreliable in this phase.
The last phase is the death phase and when the boss reaches 0 HP. At this point, you’ll want to use the Chili Dawg since in the final attack section you won’t be able to heal until it ends. There’s no need to do damage here so make sure to have Boby Block or Ultimate heal if you can’t afford the former.
In the final phase, the Shadow will say “This will be the end!” and rise up into the air. There will be white blocks flying around and that should be the time you get ready. This is the part where he gives back your jump. You’ll need to jump the last wave, or it will insta-kill you.
With this knowledge, you’ll know now how to effectively defeat the Shadow boss in Critical Strike. All that’s left is your skill as a player to dodge all those attacks and hazards. I’m sure you can do it!
