If you prefer playing with a twinkle-toed character that can deal faster but slighter damage, Rotten Crystal Sword will be a superb acquisition!

This sword features the Spinning Slash skill that uses a piercing and spinning attack. In addition, it causes a small Scarlet Rot buildup, and you can upgrade it using the Somber Smithing Stones. It requires your hero to have at least 13 Strenght, 10 Dexterity, and 15 Intelligence, and it has 4.5 weight.

Now, you’re probably thinking “That’s all nice, but where and how do I find it?”. As usual, you can rely on us for guides, how-to’s, and locations, so keep reading for more details.

Rotten Crystal Sword Location – Elden Ring

First, head out to Elphael, Brace of the Haligtree, a large castle found in the northern part of the map. If you want to access this location, you’ll first need to defeat Loretta, Knight of the Haligtree, and go down the elevator.

A bit far, isn’t it?

Once you arrive there, move to the Elphael Inner Wall and you’ll find a site of grace.

Get ready for some trouble.

From there, head down the stairs and look on the left – you’ll notice massive debris.

What happened here?

Behind it, you’ll find three non-boss Crystalians guarding the chest with the Rotten Crystal Sword.

It looks like they are meditating instead of guarding the chest.

Now, there are two approaches to this; You can either loot and run while getting some damage or lure them one by one over the rubble and into the hallway to defeat them.

To fight or to flight?

Of course, it’s up to you how you want to do this, but in any case, you’ll find the sword inside the chest. Here are the sword’s full stats.
