When you reach this one stage of the game, you’ll see Gale asking you for an artefact that he can consume. However, sometimes when you donate the artefacts to him, it won’t work, and he just won’t consume the artefacts you donated.

In order to fix this, you’ll want to look for items that has a description with the exclamation mark saying Gale can absorb this item’s magic, destroying it. Then, you’ll be able to right click the item and donate it to Gale in the menu.
