There’s lots of Legendary equipment that you can get in Baldur’s Gate 3. In fact, it’s one of the many interesting parts of the game, since getting them usually include a challenge and a story for you to uncover. If you are specifically looking for the Gontr Mael bow, I got you covered! In this guide, I will show you everything you need to know to get the legendary bow in the game.
Gontr Mael Legendary Bow Guide
In order to get the Gontr Mael legendary bow, you’ll need to defeat the Steel Watcher Titan, also labeled as Gortash’s Magnus Opus. However, you’ll do a bit of running around in order to fight it. Here’s how you can reach the location of the boss.
First, make your way to the Steel Watch Foundry, as shown in the image below.
Then head straight until you reach its entrance. It’s pretty easy to access, simply unlock/lockpick it. Though be aware of possible fights that you may encounter on your way.
After heading inside, a cutscene will play out between Gondian Lowa and Black Gauntlet Tamia Holzt, though who you’ll need to find is Gondian Zanner Tobbin. He is located behind the Security Office door, which you’ll need to unlock.
There he is! Interact with him to proceed. You must offer to help and convince them to escape. After that, he will then direct you downstairs.
Make your way towards to lower grounds of the Steel Watch Foundry as shown below.
After proceeding, you’ll need to defeat everyone in the area.
Then, make your way into the 30 Roll Door as shown in the images below.
There they are! Again, defeat everyone in the area and ultimately, the Steel Watcher Titan. Successfully doing so will reward you with the Gontr Mael legendary bow.
Emerging from the remains of the Steel Watcher Titan, Gontr Mael takes the form of a bow molded from the boiling slag and weird whispering gyros of the mechanical behemoth. Here’s what makes the Gontr Mael a legendary bow:
- Promised Victory: Upon a successful hit, potentially bestow Guiding Bolt upon the target.
- Glowing Presence: Gontr Mael emits a radiant light within a 6-meter radius.
- Celestial Swiftness
- Weapon Maneuvers:
- Hamstring Shot (Weapon Action): Target the enemy’s thigh to potentially reduce their Movement Speed by 50%.
- Brace (Ranged Weapon Action) (Expends Movement): Utilize 6 meters / 20 feet of movement. For the remainder of your turn, roll ranged damage twice and employ the higher outcome.
It’s pretty much it! That’s how you get the Gontr Mael legendary bow in Baldur’s Gate 3. If you have questions or concerns, feel free to leave them in the comments section below.
