Some people have very strong opinions towards carnival games. The experience of seeing your money getting taken from you legally in a matter of minutes – seconds even, almost makes it seem like you’re at a casino. That’s still very prevalent in Baldur’s Gate 3, and we’re not just talking about the dice rolls.
We’re talking about the fun time you’ll have trying to get Nyrulna from Akabi’s Wheel of Wonders. The house can afford to lose every now and then, however. Find out how you can one up him and his tricks by reading the guide below.
How to Win Akabi Jackpot | Get Nyrulna Weapon
The Nyrulna Weapon is located in the Jungle area. You can only get to this place by visiting the Circus of Last Days. The Djinni Akabi will be the one to teleport you to that location. The travelling act can be seen at the west side of Rivington right next to the Open Hand Temple where you solved the murder mystery. The cost of his spins are absurdly high and the value of the items that you get are the exact opposite.
If it isn’t already obvious, Akabi’s Wheel of Wonders is rigged to send you and the rest of your party fighting for table scraps at the Lower City. You won’t win anything decent from him unless you pickpocket the Djinni Ring. This item casts mage hand that allows the Djinni to cheat the wheel legitimately.Without the ring, you cannot win the jackpot.
To further guarantee success while stealing the ring, make sure that you’re invisible.
Spin the wheel again and you’ll come to notice that Akabi is a sore loser. He will call you a thief and teleport you to an undisclosed location. Your party won’t be there to help either. You’ll experience Dino Crisis all over again as you go through this area, you also need to find the portal to get back to the circus.
The portal is just at the southeastern tip of the map. It’s not that big of an area so you can do a bit of exploring as well. Another item you can snag here before heading back is the Band of the Mystic Scoundrel. Jumping to the rock where the portal is will damage you. Be sure to cast Feather Fall if you’re not willing to use a small potion to heal up.
Next to the portal is a Painted Chest, this will contain the Nyrulna Trident. The chest will require a Sleight of Hand DC of 20 to open so save an inspiration or two when you can! Go through the portal and you will end up in front of the outhouses next to the Iron Fence.
And that’s how you get the legendary Nyrulna Trident in Baldur’s Gate 3. Talk to Akabi again when you get back to see him draw out his sword!
